hotel staff were friendly and attentive, the sign on the hotel front door said " let us take care of you, you deserve it" and that is exactly what happened. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff stayed open later so my kids could eat. The staff was so kind. all reviews

A pleasent base from which to explore Luzern with a comfotable, albeit rather small, room.Everything was fine, no problems at all.Well placed for shops/lake.free internet,parking. It's right downtown, in the thick of it, so you can't beat the convenience if you want to see central Luzern.It was very clean and updated. The bathroom was very nice.I liked the fact that they provided an ironing station. the hotel was bright and airy. Friendly and helpful staff. the location is good. We had a very small room and there was no air conditioning which would be a problem in the summer.no air condition .Maybe the classification system for hotels is different in switzerland but this was not, in my experience, a four star hotel. There is no room service and no sport/gym faccilities. Breakfast service was also disorganised.Room was stuffy where was the aircon?breakfast expensiveso wentdown the road!. Be forewarned there is really no difference between a "single" and "double" room. They are serious about charging for each body. We made the mistake of assuming otherwise, and ended up paying 250CHF for a very small room ... one quite a bit smaller than what you see the photos. Luzern is a tourist destination, and apparently they can get this much.It was quite hot with no way to just keep a window open for air. There was only a door to a balcony that could be opened and it was difficult to leave it open during the night. Also, I didn't like the fact that breakfast was not included in the price and that the min. amount you could pay for breakfast was CHF 20.The restaurant was closed during our stay. In many hotels in Luzern you can get free wi-fi and this is not available at the NH. It really should be these days if they are to compete successfully with others. There were no shelves or cupboards in the room I stayed in - just a wardrobe which is not very practical.the room is too small. very small room for 4 stars hotel.Breakfast not included in the price quote. The walls on the hotel were very thin. We could hear everything in the other room. The room was also too small for the price paid.Too small a room for the charges.It was too hot inside the rooms and there was no provision for air conditioning or fans.No room service was available and not even a kettle provided for a cup of coffee in the rooms.The worst thing was that I forgot my sunglasses in the hotel lounge next to the reception and it was not to be found just half and hour later.Cheated me with the room. Beware; breakfast is not included in the price. Your site says its a 4 star hotel. Its actually a 3 star hotel.Extremely poor attitude of staff esp. front-office staff.
