The Hotel Seeburg - Chalet Gardenia is located right on the banks of Lake Lucerne, 3 km from the centre of Lucerne. It offers panoramic mountain and lake views, with free parking on site. All Chalet Gardenia rooms and suites feature cable TVs, tea/coffee makers and elegant bathrooms including bathrobes. An internet station is available free of charge in the lobby. The Seerestaurant and the Alexander restaurant offer panoramic views of the lake and Mount Pilatus from its open-air terrace. From November to January you can enjoy raclette and fondue in the Rigihütte. The rose garden of the hotel is opening directly to the lake, where guests can use free sun loungers. In summer, Sunset Bar and barbecue facilities are available. The 4-star Chalet Gardenia belongs to the 3-star Hotel Seeburg and shares the same reception. Right outside the hotel, there is a bus stop. Swiss Transport Museum is a 10-minute walk away.

Loved everything. Incredibly friendly staff, lovely room with balcony and view of the lake just across the road - it was unexpectedly a very rainy few days and we still had a great experience even though we could not use all of the amazing outdoor lakeside areas that are beautifully furnished (will have to go back another summer to use all of the facilities). This was a great find - charming and above average comforts/decor/facilities.

Room and view of Lake impressive but room very small. Not up to our expectation. Lake view room was superb. Staff were very professional but at the same time friendly. Good car parking and bus access to city. Restaurant - food and service-excellent, and a beautiful setting. Physical environment of hotel - fittings, furnitute-excellent. Irina the front desk clerk was wonderful. She answered all our questions and offered ideas that enhanced our visit to Lucerne. The Breakfast was delicious and our view of the lake and mount Pilatis was perfect. The clean, comfortable room. The view from the balcony. Due the weather it was possible to sit outside for breakfast and evening meal - so relaxing !!. Location and views to lake and mountains. Good size room and bathroom. It was a good hotel, but it might be a little bit too much money for the size and comfort of the room. 1) Beautiful Location ,Views, Spacious Room and Bathroom. I would caution visitors that this hotel is not really walking distance from the train station as stated (no way with luggage). It was close to an hour walk between train and hotel (or a 6 minute cab ride for $22 cf). The location is fantastic, and it is a beautiful walk in a charming city, but it would be helpful to have known the actual distance. Staff rude or disinterested. We expected more for a hotel of this class. The lobby/reception area does not appear as 'warm' and up-market as the hotel actually is: but the reception staff were superb. I think the hot items for breakfast were limited. The cost of a bottle of wine - everywhere in Luzern - was very expensive, even for average quality wine. Breakfast, nothing particularly special about it. nothing. Disproportion between the food in the restaurant and the price they asked for it. No english. No irony facility. If you need electricity converter you need to deposit 20 € , $ or chf. Room service charge you 20 chf per any delivery or order. Washing clothes cost extra 50% and 100% same day. 1)Aircon is non functional, slept with the windows open. 2)Buffet breakfast is excellent served from 7:00am to 10am, one of the days we landed for breakfast at 9:am and found most of the exhausted items like scrambled eggs, Mushrooms not refilled, So to avoid inconvenience better be there at the buffet atleast by 8am. 3) Double Bedroom had no double bed , but two single beds stacked together.
