  It was my second stay at the Splendid Royal in the last two months and it definitely is the best hotel in Lugano.Their restaurant is the best in town and the staff is very profesional.I really enjoyed my stay there. - Everything! Great staff, friendly and professional. Rooms are perfect, with great view. We'll go back there for sure!

  One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive. Especial details such as candies in the lobby, apples and even the fact that they changed the rugs in the elevator with the day of the week printed. The girls in the reception were extremely helpful especially the one who helped me find the nearest phone shop ... what people say » and the one that suggested the outlet in Mendrisio - We arrived early, but were promptly given rooms. While they finalized they details, we were given coffee and biscuits. Service was excellent. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were all very pleasant. We felt like we had the run of the house. I visited with friends for a girl's get away, but will definitely return with my husband and daughters!

  Beautifully clean and comfortable. View of Lake and mountains fantastic. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Reception staff variable. Breakfast somewhat limited ie scrambled eggs main choice, but plenty of fresh fruit etc. Busy road between lake and hotel but double glazing very effective and quieter at night. The staff were friendly and helpful; the room that we had (#70, the best in the hotel we were told) was large and has an incredible view of the lake; we were by kindly given a free upgrade without asking; the breakfast is more than adequate and by our standards very good; it is very close to the trai... what people say » n station; the grounds are beautiful with a nice pool (unfortunately, while there it was, we were told, unseasonably cold and overcast so did not get - An historic property, carefully preserved and tastefully upgraded, one of Lugano's great period hotels. It is convenient to the train station if you are one of those travelers who trundles a suitcase behind you. From its location, it commands a view of the lake and city if your room is in front, or of the beautiful grounds from the rear of the building.
