The rooms were clean and spacious (we were on 9th floor) with nice big shower. Receptionist was very helpful with booking dinner and explaining how to get to the old town. Ample parking (extra 20swiss francs but can come and go for 24hours). 2X English speaking tv channels. 15 stroll to the old town without old town accom prices. WiFI for 1 device available for free. Great budget hotel a short walk or tram ride to the city center. Good sized clean rooms, organized, efficient with free wi-fi. What more could you want? Bern is a beautiful old city in a beautiful country. Enjoy!.
all reviews » The hotel was right outside a tram station, which took you to Bern city centre (and central station) in about 7min, the room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Everything was very nice at this hotel. We appreciated their holding our luggage for an afternoon. Within walking distance to Bear Park and Medieval (old) town. The hotel is just next to a tram station - quite convenient to get around. Parking is very secure under the hotel building. Friendly and helpful staff. Design essential and efficient. Location equidistant between city centre and Paul Klee museum. Large underground parking. Bed was extremely comfortable, and it was just one queen size bed. Shower is nice and big. Free, fast internet. Nice clean place. Very friendly and helpful staff. Right beside public transportation. When I booked online I was charged in Euros. When I paid they charged me in SFr. The staff refused to allow me to pay in the price I booked online. This made us very upset. Parking costs 20 chf. No other option. room uncomfortable. Given that I paid over $200 a night for the room I did expect a better mattress than a foam overlay. Also the modular bathroom had about a 4 inch step up into it which was very unsafe. Not enough room for luggages. A little far for the railway travellers. Heating was turned up so room was like an oven, with no means of turning it Down, and window not opening.......so no sleep! Terrible night. The price is too high in comparison with other Ibis hotels where we were in Europe. the price is too high for an Ibis hotel and the towels are almost transparant some new towels would not be a luxury. A basic hotel. Too expensive for its facilities. Only 1 towel per person. 20 sfr for parking per day. No alternative for parking. Room 818 was next to the engine room ventilation :-( very noisy. Second room had been quiet, but with a view to weed out the window. Probably in beautiful Bern better place for the night.
