I booked the "small room" which was offered at a very reasonable rate and was delighted with the room, whilst it was smaller than the normal rooms due to a very good design it still felt spacious and luxurious. The gym which Berns guests can use at the grand hotel was also excellent and a real treat to use. Excellent location and friendly staff. The reception staff were very helpful in arranging both dinner reservations and reservations for boat tours. Natalie and Hugo were exceptional and are good ambassadors for the hotel.

Berns has functioned as a popular meeting place for more than 140 years. The restaurant is open for lunch every day and for dinner Tuesdays to Saturdays. In the middle of the glass veranda there is a bench made out of marble on which the wonderful breakfast buffet is served.
