Would have been 5 stars if not for the age of the hotel itself. Huge bed (king sized) and a semi 'walk in wardrobe'. Distance is a good15- 30 min walk away depending on walking speed. Not in the historic city centre, but so are the other 4 or 5 star hotels in Valencia ( this is in fact closest to both the train stations and the city centre comparatively). About 5 to 6 euros by cab to city centre, train stations and the city of art and science. Distance is good enough not to be awaken by the fal.
all reviews » We had been travelling in Spain and Portugal for three weeks in a number of locations. This was most our most luxurious stay to date. We had a King room which was ginormous with excellent facilities. We were travelling by car, so did not want to stay in the centre of Valencia, which was only a 15 minutes walk away. Our check-in and out were handled quickly and efficiently. Buffet breakfast was included in what we considered to be a budget rate. We would recommend this hotel. The rooms (all rooms ending with 11, I was in 511, 605, 611 and 711) were very spacious and comfortable, and the German, English speaking staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great because of the proximity to AVE station, downtown is just 15 minutes walk away and La ciudad de las ciencias is 25-30 minutes walk away. I have been there for more than six times in the lst three months. Very large room with massive bed. Free water and Pepsi in the mini fridge each day (always a massive plus in my opinion). Room was very quiet even though the hotel faces a very busy intersection. Staff really friendly and good grasp of English. Although the hotel isn't right in town it is only a pleasant 15min walk away. Only a 15min walk to either of the main train stations also. Everything. Luxury hotel at a very reasonable cost. Buffet breakfast with something for everybody. ALL staff very friendly and helpful. Good size room and superb bathroom. Shower worked well and hot water available at all times. Free bottled water and soft drinks in fridge greatly appreciated. Air conditioning working very efficiently. Stafff helped a lot. Fantastic: tea/coffee maker. It made a big difference for me. I had hospital appointments & had to stay in the room/ lying down (back problems) I was very comfortable. By far the best 4 star hotel in which we stayed in Spain. Better than a 5-star hotel in Tenerife (SPAIN) where we stayed last summer. Price for a room is small (I think that because of the crisis). Although the hotel may seem a bit out of things. There is a brilliant bus service right outside the door which takes you everywhere. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. This is a great location to stay in Valencia. It is very close to the City Center (and Xativa metro station), beautiful rooms, great view and, most importantly, very helpful staff. The location is perfect. You can easily walk to many parts of town within minutes. All taxi drivers seem pretty familiar with with the hotel and its location. The rooms are nice. The staff was very helpful. Our room happened to be next door to a family with a screaming baby. I complained to the front desk, and we were moved to another room immediately. Secure parking below the Hotel and we were able to come & go as we liked for 15euros per night/day. The room cleaning needs to be improved. The location wasn't great. It's within walking distance of certain attractions in Valencia, but it's a long walk. It isn't really close to anything. nothing. There was nothing we didn't like. no ironing board available, though iron exists 1 per the whole hotel. Not much - it was a very enjoyable stay. It is a short walk from the main station and then on to the cit centre. WiFi was not good. Not that very central but on the other hand within few minutes walk one can easily at Xativa!. Although value for money, food poor standard and variety for 4 star hotel. Towels very poor quality.Our shower head in the bathroom did not have a fitting to the wall. Had to hold shower head. internet service is poor and not enough. it is not in the city center. parking system is not cheap. nothing. 15 min walk to city center. rooms facing the main road abit noisey as it was right by a main juction. wifi does not allow messaging. Internet was hopeless other than in reception area. The Wifi in the hotel is terrible slow. from time to time loosing connections !. Extremely slow internet connection. For first time visits to Valencia not recommended, since this neighbourhood is fairly quiet in the evenings and the city centre is much nicer with all its outdoor places. Although it looks near the station, it is on the wrong side of the tracks, and there are no over/underpasses, so you have to walk in a large loop to get there. Book somewhere on the west side. Breakfast was a rip-off. Wifi very bad. Restaurant didn't have basic dishes available like pasta but on the menu. Mildew/ mould at bath. Situated on an intersection with heavy traffic, close to the station but hard to get to on foot because of the road layout. Staff not especially friendly. Pastry at the breakfast wasn't the best. Internet service is very poor. Autoparc system can be improved. Everthing fine apart from car parking, I arrived at 12am, the car park facilities for the hotel which is at 15 euros per day closes at 11pm, so it was a nightmare parking, Other then that everything was great. The gym was out of order. Location is not Central to Valencia as inferred. Nothing. It is an interesting ethnic neighbourhood, but relatively far from the centre or the subway. All good. The location is a bit faraway from the city center.The hotel is in a middle of a traffic node, therefore a bit noisy during the night.
