We had a thoroughly pleasant stay at this hotel for 5 nights in February 09. We stayed with our 2 children in a 'B2' Apartment - we found the rooms (sitting room with sofa bed and kitchenette / separate bedroom / large bathroom) to be extremely comfortable and practical with nice decor. The apartment was cleaned on a daily basis.

The apartment was very spacious and clean, with great views and restaurants that catered for young children. It was easy to get around the hotel with a buggy and it had great access and was very easy to find at the end of the esplanade with a great walk along the water front into the main town centre.The accessibility to the beach, the historic village of Sitges, the option of 2 pools and a game room and the availability of a mini market on site. We particulary preferred the option of an aparthotel as we were in the process of moving and cooking in was a great money saver.Hotel staff were very efficient and quick to respond to requests. Greatto have two swimming pools. Kids facilities very good, excellentlifeguard. Good qaulity food in all three restaurants. Great pizzas andsangria from claudio!. Apartment with washing machine and well equipped kitchen - small and compact - but also great pool and hotel amenities. Fabulous location right on sea. Sitges is a lovely resort.It was probably towards the end of the summer season and we all liked the quietness and location. 23 in our group overall. All booked separately.The staff were friendly location was 15 to 20 min walk from town and other resturants and bars this is just info for others not a negative. Perfect setting with the Med almost lapping at the door. the accomodations were wonderful!. The location was excellent and the staff were great. Last summer I stayed at the Dolce, the Sunway Playa Golf was a much better hotel for a holiday and offered better value for money.The sun.(we are from Ireland).It was convenient to the beach. The hotel and apartment we stayed in were excellent the Manager is a very nice guy and the reception staff very helpful, although it is quite a walk into Sitges the location of the hotel is beautiful and the view of the sea and golf course from our room was spectacular, we will definately stay there again.The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The views were perfect! The room was ALOT larger than it looked like on the site. For example, there's a private bedroom, a hallway to enter into the kitchen and living area. It was great!. It was very quiet and the pool was lovely.it has a nice sea view apartments and is at the end of the road which gives you nice privacy. The location, between a golf cource and the beach, bykes for rent....room ans location. the weather but the hotel needs to have more in the way of a welcome pack as we have stayed at the sunway playa 3 times now and each time there are less and less things to make the stay less pleasent. The breakfast buffet was good. new and clean, good location. Nothing. The views. That I didn't stay too long.There are a couple of minor issues on the downside but these are not significant enough in our opinion to warrant a negative review of the hotel as a whole: 1/ The hotel is at the very end of a very long beach promenade (a nice feature) so it is a long walk into the town centre. In Sitges, taxis and local buses are also very expensive.We like everything about your staff, Hotel and location and we and others in our group will be back.Parking difficulties. The room could have been a bit cleaner e.g. it was very dusty under the beds.It's a bit of a walk from the main town/bars/train station (20 - 25 mins)but it is a pleasent walk beside the beach.the apartment did not have a kettle. shuttle bus to Station/centre would be good. Not really a dislike just an observation, the staff in the restaurant were not very aware therefore we found ourselves waiting a long time to be served and when paying had to ask for the bill many times.The hotel advertised the washing machine in the room. We just "assumed" there would be a dryer as well. When we asked about the dryer, the gentleman at the front desk looked at us like we were stupid and said "natural". He meant.....dry them out on the patio. It was damp outside, and couldn't do that. The staff was not very forthcoming with information on how to get around,what was available. The all-night disco across the way provided unfortunate competition tothe sound of the waves crashing on the beach, but once we got used tothe combined beat and rhythm it was okay.More variety on menu and a bigger selection of food in the bar.As usual in Europe, the beds were hard. The shower temperature went from cold to burning hot constantly. Even though they advertise air-conditioning they did not have it turned on during 27 C Degree temperatures.The service for food and drink was extremely slow.Very few of the staff understood any english. Some (few) waiters very rude. A longer bed would have been preferable.The floor of the room was not clean properly, being for beach holidays sand was everywhere since we arrive. Although there was free ADSL internet, if you did not have your own computer with you, you had to use a pay one which was broken.Sunway Playa Golf lies next to the Club de Golf Terramar, but there is no easy access to the Club. There is no transportation and to get there, you have to drive around the complex and the neighbouring ward of the village. To my opinion, it is rather easy to make an access direct from the Hotel grounds.every night a rave party approx 500 mtrs away from hotel started at midnight until 06 am if you were sleeping in bedroom ok but if you were on foldaway bed in living area you could hear everything. so did put a dampener on hotel . also if you do not have a car supermarket poorly stocked and overpriced.room smelled of cigarette smoke. It is a 30 minutes walk from the main centre - we checked out after 3 days beacuse of this and only this. Poorly stocked supermarket. The staff at reception were unfriendly and didn't even thank us for staying when we paid the bill or ask if we enjoyed the stay.the service was not up to the mark. We arrived at Playa golf late night and found the balcony door didn't have a lock though the engineer came and fixed it it was 3 am in the morning. the shower was not in full working condition and there was no indoor pool, which is disappointing during cold days. The bed mattress,. restaurant much to expensive. the price. staff sometimes very unhelpfull, eg we hired bikes from hotel which had nearly flat tyres. difficult toget served in bar. not enough staff on reception.Very noisy (not other guests - the staff!). Bottle bins emptied at the crack of dawn, cleaning staff banging doors and trollies around at some un-godly hour etc...Never changed sheets. Food bad. Staff rude.WiFi not working. Room not clean. A lack of staff in the restaurnantresulting in waiting too long.Reception staff were generally speakingunfriendly and unhelpful. Proximity of the hotel to Disco Atlantida -too noisey - disco goes on all night - check it out on You Tube!!!!. The list is endless. This is a crappy hotel, overpriced and out of placecompared to everything else in Sitges.

- By car: From Barcelona, take the coastal highway (AP-16) to the south, direction Tarragona. Some 40 km. after leaving Barcelona get out of the highway taking the "Sitges centre" exit. Once in Sitges, get directly to the sea promenade: we are on the south end of that promenade, so it will be easy for you to find us.

- By plane: The closest airport from Sitges is the Barcelona airport, located some 25-30 km. far from Sitges. There are international flights arriving to Barcelona from all over the world. Once at the airport, you may take a taxi to Sitges (some 40-60 euros) or a train to Barcelona and, from there, a connecting one to Sitges.

- By train: There are trains leaving from Barcelona to Sitges every 10-15 minutes. You can take trains going direction "Vilanova i la Geltrú" or to "Sant Vicens de Calders": both will stop in Sitges some 40 minutes after leaving Barcelona. You can take trains to Sitges from any railway station in Barcelona ("Paseo de Gracia" is a good option).
