Everything is well within walking distance. Our room (ground floor facing the patio) was quiet and cleaned daily. We found the matresses were fine (firm, though). Save entrance, kind staff, good Wi-Fi connection, both in our room and on the patio. Breakfast is not included, but there are very affordable and good breakfast bars around the corner.

  Although she does not speak English the lady at the reception was extremely helpful. Convenient parking for a modest price, city center in walking distance. Good value for money. - Very friendly staff, a good room, comfortable with a good bathroom. There are cafes close by for breakfast.

  The couple that runs this place is so lovely and helpful. Even though they hardly spoke any English, they really tried to connect with me and my friend in English and even bought us breakfast (churros!) on our last day!!   Excellent location in the middle of old town. Short walk to Cathedral and Palace Alcazar. Next to tapas bars. Check Teresa bar opposite for delicious tapas and try local 'tinto de verano' drink which is a mix of wine with lemon. The hostal is located in a very old house so ready for a piece of history. Place is clean and quiet, friendly staff. This place has - The place had loads of character, we loved the quirky shapes and designs of the place and our room was delightful, and there are some lovely public spaces. The location was absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Santa Cruz and close to the cathedral. It was amazing to get such good value accommodation in this spot. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above.

The guys are very knowledgeble and know a secret place in city whe - The staff was amazingly nice. Through all the hostels I have staid, the staff was the most nice persons. They were always taking care about everything. I had free breakfest, it was basic like cereal, milk, tea, coffee, jam, bread. But it was very delicious. You can use kitchen whenever You want, to make dinner and supper for yourself. Beds were clean, lockers were safe, bathroom was clean. Everything was perfect! And the price was very very low! I totally recomend this hostel for everyone.
