  Although there was no ocean view, we were within a block of the beach. The hotel is at the edge of the tourist area and it was a nice long walk to the old city center.   Really beautiful and comfortable palace with the surrounding countryside providing the perfect setting. Only 30mins drive to San Sebastián. 45 mins to Bilboa. Everything was just great.   The hotel was ideally located for us as it was relatively easy arriving and leaving by car and was a nice walk ( about 20 mins) to the old town, beach and other sites. Onsite parking was available - make sure you get your room card from reception before parking car or you can't use lifts to the hotel! The restaurant wasn't open during our stay, but cafe at the front was good for a drink or a - The staff were very friendly and spoke English. We chose this hotel as we were arriving by car and didn't want to drive right into the city centre. The walk into town only takes 10-15 mins. We also loved the movie theme of the hotel and got the Bob Hoskins room. The rooms have DVD players and you can hire for free, movies from the hotel to watch, so we thought this was pretty cool. Can't comment on the breakfast as we went an ate elsewhere.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the entire facility is extremely clean. The walk into town is beautiful and less than 10 minutes.
