We loved this hotel, originally a Convent. All the old features had been preserved with all the comforts expected, without any of the character being lost. I stayed here in 1977 and again in May 2013 and was surprised at how little has changed. It has been enlarged, but the welcome and atmosphere are still the same.
The hotel sits on a hill above the town and is only a short walk down to the centre of town but a steep walk back up. The location is perfect for a stopover near to the motorway.

A lovely little hotel in the heart of Merida.Once the car was parked, a couple of hundred metres away, then everything is accessible. Just down the road from the ampitheatre and the "tren turistico" Take the road train (a bit cheesy I know) for a fact finding locator of all the Roman monuments.
