  The view from our room was incredible, especially as we were climbing in the mountains on our trip. Very inspiring. the room was very clean and we had the surprise of an ensuite room which was priceless after a strenuous day. We ate at the restaurant also which was great value for money. Also, my partner has allergies and this was very easy to exp... what people say » lain to Juan who made sure she had something specially made for her. The town of Monistrol is very quaint too. Would have loved to stayed longer. Tota - Very helpful and friendly owner (example: we could eat lunch after lunchtime), great food - we definitely recommend bed and breakfast option, it's worth it. Room cosy and clean - as comfortable as 3* hotel, but in no hotel you'll get as nice service:). Wi-Fi works well.

  This was our second trip to Montserrat - the first was horrible as we were there for the day with the hordes (and there are HORDES) of people on large bus tours. This time we stayed overnight at this hotel and it was AMAZING. A completely different experience. The room was very nice with a view out over the monastery; its a utilitarian room but... what people say » who cares with that view?. The bells mentioned in other reviews didn't bother us too much... we bought excellent cheese, honey and figs from the loc - Hotel Abat Cisneros is in an ideal position & my room overlooked both the Basilca and the Mountains. My decision to stay overnight was well rewarded. The sunset, stillness & peace when all the day tourists have gone is an amazing experience. Staff were very friendly & helpful, rooms comfortable and clean. The ToT ticket is wonderful value.

  Everything was perfect. We had a hearty welcome by the host, who was friendly, gentle and accommodating. We liked to stay the room which made us feel cozy and relaxed with a log fire and amazing Montserrat view. I liked to be surrounded by the beautiful scent of handmade soaps at the entrance. Definitely recommended. - We absolutly loved it, Ramon and his family go out of their way to make you comfortable, its a home a way from home, the most beautiful location and just everything you could ever ask for! I would stay there and just day trip to barcelona its beautiful.

  If you are going to visit Monserrat, I'd really suggest that you try spending the night there. It's a very busy place during the day. But after the last funicular, you practically have the place to yourself. That means evening and morning prayer with the monks if you choose to go (very beautiful), and a chance to get an early start hiking the trai... what people say » ls. The accommodations are simple. It's not lavish. But it's good enough with a small kitchen, bed, and bathroom. - it is the perfect location for a few days solitude in the mountains. be aware that there are no thrills. you are pretty much on your own that s why you want to go there.
