Location, location, location!! Steps away from Puerto del Sol and easy walking to all Madrid top attractions. Apartment we stayed in was located about 200m from the office where we checked in. It was called Puerto del Alcala was newly refurbish and very clean. Wifi was also good. The apartment was in a good location right next to Plaza Ana, small grocery for breakfast goods, good restaurants, plenty of taxis right in front, good beds, soundproof windows, plenty of light from windows during the day and plenty of lights for reading in the evenings.

I got more than I was expecting for what I had paid, but especially the location was fantastic. Central location, well appointed & spacious apartment with separate bedroom, dining/living room and bathroom. Fully appointed with washing machine, microwave, fridge, stove etc. A lift in the building was an unexpected bonus. For a very reasonable price, one gets a clean, convenient, and comfortable apartment. The kitchen is well-equipped and modern. Support immediatly available when needed. Greate location. The Apartment was okey, it was clean but not spotless so up to your own jugdement. Location: Close to Sol which it's good, so you don't need to get the tube all the time. The location was great for being near the attractions, metro, and sight seeing. Clean and new apartments. The little alley in front of the building was not really busy but very noisy at night especially over the weekend. Even at 2am and 5am! Not suitable for light sleepers. We checked in on Sunday and we had problems with the on site person as he appeared to be only a janitor. The staff during the week was very helpful. As our plane from San Francisco landed at 8:30 am and we did not get to even get our luggage off the street in front of the apartment until 1:30 PM we were not too happy. We suggest a warning on your website about Sunday check in unless the apartment management changes their policy. Check-in was disorganized and on occasions it was difficult (at lunchtime for example) to locate anyone from reception. My booking was muddled with someone else's and my room key cancelled after 2 days, leaving me locked out, though this was sorted out reasonably quickly, once I could locate member of staff. Communication difficulties on arrival at the office (which, although a Sunday, was not staffed at the time in spite of the arrival of 3 separate groups with bookings) meant a delay of an hour or so before someone arrived to sort things out. It was all good. it was difficult to communicate with staff,only in Spanish or by fingers. Beds were rock hard and uncomfortable. Make sure you bring soap!. Tv wasn't working when we arrived and wasn't fixed despite being told twice that it would be done "today". There's a washing machine but no dryer or clothesline. Asked for a double bed but room was set up with two single beds upon arrival. No external windows Smelled of smoke. extremely noise within apartements and on the streets (one main entrance door for 4 apartments with one ring for all, imagine people knocking and ringing all night long without key trying to get in, apartment was not clean. The owner asked us to leave the hotel much more earlier than the time of leaving that said on the paper. He wasn't very nice, also said that he had another couple waiting to go into our apartment but it wasn't anywhere close to 10:30 and we needed to wait until 13:00 to be able to get in so... it doesn't make sense. There was a disconnect between Bookings.com and the hotel. There was no booking for us when we arrived and there was no apartment available. The proprietor had to call an associate and find us something else. We ended up with a small room not anything like what we had reserved. The bathroom was very tiny and the shower a small closet size. It was very, very loud at night due to the new location. We had requested an interior room and of course, did not get it. We were not provided with the apartments we booked. Very disappointing given that we booked a three bed apartment and were provided with three individual duplex apartments. In short a very bad apartment would not recommend any one to stay out here.
