From the moment you approach this hotel you feel welcome. The staff are true professionals who are happy to go the extra mile. The rooms are small but perfectly formed with wonderful design touches and very efficient a/c and water pressure. The food is excellent and good value, although the breakfast at first seems expensive, the choices are amazing and well worth it. But what really makes this hotel is the staff. Location was great - in the historic city centre, you can enjoy a walk to many places of interest. Opera metro station is just 1 minute from hostel. 24 hours supermarket is almost next door. My window was on pedestrian street Arenal, where people are walking all night long, but it wasn't noisy, I easily fell asleep (with closed window). Very safe district of Madrid. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I checked in at night and man didn't speak english, but it was ok for checking in, showing my
