The hostal was very clean and efficiently run. We had a small problem, with a leak from the wash basin. It was dealt with straight away ! The lady room maid ( from Dominican Republic ) was very efficient and friendly. Good location ! -

Very nice staff - not everybody speaks perfect English, but with basic Spanish - no problem! With 'Sp-english' - no worries at all ! :) While staying 2 nights I could change the room for better the following night. Internet for free in the room. The hotel was excellent value for money. We had a little kitchen with fridge so we could prepare our own breakfast. The hotel is outside the main tourist area and the local people are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some great food in the area and I would recommend eating a plate of Iberico at the butcher's terrace. Barcelona itself was very easy to reach by subway, it goes directly to the Sagrada Familia. Overall a great place if you want to enjoy Barcelona but want to stay away from the

You can get to Barcelona in 20 minutes by train.
There is hardly any tourists a so Badalona is a typical Spanish city with friendly people. Just be aware that not many of the locals can speak English
