We arrived early (8:30 am), Vinnie and Kristina at the front desk stored our luggage in a secure locked area, leaving us free to explore the sights until check-in. Upon check-in, we were greeted with glasses of sparkling cava. Vinnie and Kristina represent the hotel most excellently.   The apartment was half the price of two hotel rooms in the Gothic Quarter for our party of 5. The location was great, but it was a 5-8 minute walk from where we had to pick up our key, so it was a haul because we had a TON of luggage and 2 people in their 70s. We had attic apartment and were pleasantly surprised to find a great outdoor terrace with loungers and table and stools. Great views amongst the rooftops of the barri gothic. Felt safe and secure. Helpful staff around most of the day. Pretty high up with massive drop off terrace so perhaps not great if your kids are naughty and don't listen to your absolute rules re looking over the edge!   Location was the best right in the gothic area in the Placa San Jaume square. I loved the attic room . Very spacious and the terrace was to die for. Bed was a wee bit hard but not an issue. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city. The apartment room was large & spacious to accommodate my family of 4 including 2 teenagers. The bathroom was very spacious as well & the kitchenette was well equipped. The rooms are lovely with the exposed wall and slate tiled bathrooms. Staff were really helpful and recommended places to eat and go see, and generally very friendly and attentive. Fantastic location near all the bars and restaurants, and about 5-7 min walk to the food market, and tube (metro) station. We didn't use the swimming pool as we went in March (still too cold) but it did look tiny.
