  We loved our stay at this Hotel Palace! Perfect, professional and very polite and helping staff. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and good view (standard). It was perfect, spotlessly clean, light, not noisy. They cleaned the room several times a day. It is very traditional, aristocratic classic hotel, with classic light interior at the same time with all the modern - The Hotel is beautiful,but there were very few large bath towels, no small wash clothes and no extra pillows. Also we checked in at 10:00 am and left our bags since our mini suites were not ready. We gave our passport copies, our credit cards and all info, but when we came back at 5 pm from sightseeing,our bags were still not brought to our rooms. We were 3 couples and were exhausted. They said they needed another signature before they could put the bags in the rooms. It was ridiculous since we

  The hotel is completely new. We had the room facing the pool area(cons of the street). The room was very clean with comfortable beds, with enough space, free juices and water in the refrigerator, tea and coffee maker with coffee and tea bags (refilled every day) and with very nice and clean bathroom. Near the hotel there are more than few restaurants where you can eat well at a reasonable price. - The rooms are nicely decorated, the hotel has its own personality, every room is decorated differently. We had a room on the top floor and it came with a large terasse and sunbeds. The bed was perfect, not too hard, not too soft. Location is great, just one block from Passeig de Gracia and Plaza Catalunya. Close to the lively tourist area, but still in a less crowded, noisy neighbourhood. Food at breakfast was good, large variety, it's only a cold breakfast. The hotel is brand new, we stayed on

Empty fridge - which they place a couple of bottled free water everyday - was great to put some own drinks in. Nice desk to use laptop. I mean, the staff were excellent, offering help at every stage. I told them before hand that I was coming for my honeymoon and they helped made my honeymoon a memorable experience. The Airbus station is just few minutes away and since we traveled by air we enjoyed the cheap and efficient bus transportation. The Avenida Palace is one of the best 4-star hotels in which I have been staying: excellent location, good service, recently renovated room and bathroom, and almost no noise from the street, from the corridor or from other rooms.
