The view of the Mezquita just outside the window was amazing! It's in a great position, very close and walking distance to everywhere. I definitely recommend it & will stay there again if I'm back in Cordoba. The staff were very helpful & nice too.

I parked in the Mezquita parking which was cheaper and meant I didn't have to drive into the Jewish quarter. If you want to use the parking of the hotel, I suggest to keep your car outside the Jewish quarter close to the Alcazar/ Calle Dr. Fleming, walk a few meters and await the instructions of the hotel before driving into the small streets. The entrance is 'blocked by a rope, however this seems to be meant to keep tourists out of the çourtyard. I did not have

  The pensione is central, quiet, clean and comfortable. The air con was a pleasant respite from 39 degree temp outside for a mid afternoon siesta. The hosts were friendly and pleasant although we were new to Spain and they had little English we didn't converse much. Entry was by ringing the doorbell which was good for security but made us feel awkw... what people say » ard when we thought they might be resting. - We stayed 1 night in Pension el Portillo and the room was perfect for that time. It is a rather small family-run business in a very good location (around 5 mins walk from La Mosquita and Alcazar), clean and comfortable, with a lovely owner. I would not choose it for longer stay (3-4 days) but it was perfect for 1 night.
