The location was excellent and the facilities were very good. However the best thing, as with any hotel, was the staff. Everyone from the Receptionists to the bar staff and housekeepers were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel - thank you for a lovely stay!. Hotel Regina is a lovely hotel in an absolutely fantastic location in the centre of Barcelona. Although in the middle of everything it is also an oasis of calm and serenity. The staff are extremely efficient, helpdul and friendly. I have nothing negative to say about my visit there.

spent six nights at the hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary,perfect place to stay.About one minute walk from Placa de Catalunya,lovely big room great double glazing. no street noise.halfway between the north and south of Barcelona,would go back here again. It was always great to come back to the hotel after the day out because it was a quiet haven from the bustle of the city, and at the same time lovely atmostphere.The room I had at the Hotel Regina is the most comfortable singleroom I've ever had. The bed was a very comfortable full twin bed, nota cot-sized twin bed. Great location. Easy to get around Barcelonafrom the hotel.This is a very nice Hotel! Position of Hotel.Why does the cleaning staff have to be so noisy at 7am surly everybody is still in bed!! we are on holiday!!!. Breakfast was in the Pultizer Hotel next door @ €17 a head. We didn't have it so don't know if it was value for money but it seemed expensive.Instead of a double bed we had two single beds, next to each-other and they easily moved, so we ended up sleeping on one of the two beds together. Not really a problem though, we had a very good and positive experience over all!. The bathtub needs a rubber mat to keep the user from slipping. Also, another handle would be helpful in getting in and out of the tub.The breakfast was very good but a bit pricey. There was a little noise during the mornings from the adjacent rooms. Maybe from the cleaning staff or from other guests.No negative comment to make.Some noise from other guests returning to hotel early morning.Stayed on 2nd floor and could hear the rumble of the metro first thingin morning but it didn`t keep us awake. Recommend ask for room on3rd orhigher floors.dark decor especially behind reception was depressing. The safe in room did not work properly but staff were helpful in trying to fix it.Our room was situated close to the service lift and the maids could be heard chattering when they started work at 7am.its price was a beat high. The lift is very small and access would be difficult for handicapped persons, there is a second lift but it is up a small flight of stairs.The room was clean and modern, only the windows appeared to be missed by the renovations. Our room was towards the back on the 5th floor, with a modern double-glazed window and a better wall insulation the city noises could be kept out.*Sometimes we heard noise from other guests (may be doors have to bewithout gap bottom). With reservation of hotel, use of spa and pool included, but was of no use since our children (10 and 12 years old) were not allowed in pool. Being a smoker, a room to relax in and take a coffee whilst enjoying acigarette!!.
