Everythig was well organised especially as we were travelling as a group. The staff very helpful and courteous. Primarily the location, but the room was a good size and very quiet due to double gazed doors.Very sentral location, close to everything, close to end stop for airport bus. Everything was good(except coffee facilities),the location,my safety etc....

Noise from air condition device was too high, because we were on the 7th floor, vera near to AC!. price of breakfast, we just went to local cafe for fraction of price. Walls too thin. could hear everything from other rooms and hallway. Thought we should have been given breakfast as part of rate--as we heard others did get this. Problematic sound isolation betweevn rooms. Corridor between elevatorand room too hot. They charged 5 euro / day for room safe. Internet inthe loby too expensive.Although the hotel is very central, it isn't very lighted, so it isn't clearly seen at night (at least not like the other hotels in front of it). Even though most of the hotel staff speaks clearly languages other than Spanish, there were some that didn't, at the entrance balcony. Just being picky but there was no kettle in the room and no red wine inthe mini bar. Our room was dark in the daytime. there was an ant infestation in our hotel room, we didn't say anything bc the staff wasn't very friendly or attentive and we knew they wouldn't care much. the service (i.e. internet access) is not included. The services is available but a really expensise value added service.

Built in 1899 by the architect Emilio Salas y Cortés, whose most famous pupil was Antoni Gaudí, the building of the Catalonia Duques de Bergara is exemplary of Art Nouveau architecture.

The most significant original features from its period have been restored and preserved, including the façade with its wide windows, and its interiors, like the marble staircase leading to the first floor, where you find magnificent Cuban mahogany doors, painted ceilings and a dome.

The hotel offers complete facilities including a swimming pool, located in a pleasant patio, typical of the Ensanche area in Barcelona, and 7 conference rooms fully equipped for any kind of event.

Important information to guests

Please note that only dogs and cats under 20 kg are allowed in the hotel and upon prior request. A supplement of EUR 10 per night per pet will be applied; and a deposit of EUR 200 is required upon arrival for incidentals.
