This self-catering eco-lodge is situated on 200 hectares of farmland in the Mpumalanga highlands. It consists of 3 thatched bungalows, each with their own walled courtyard and outdoor shower.
The private Nkwali bungalows are simply furnished with materials such as wood and stone. Each one comes with a spacious private bathroom with a bathtub.
Guests have access to a communal kitchen with a dining area to enjoy homemade meals. There is also a lounge and an outdoor barbecue area with a fireplace.

Please note that guests rent the entire lodge, which consists of 3 individual bungalows.
Please note that Nkwali Lodge does not have electricity. Lanterns, donkey boilers, and gas for fridges and cooking are provided.
Travelling information
From the Machadodorp town:
• Travel onto the R541 towards Badplaas;
• After 12 km, take the left turn-off to Slaaihoek;
• Travel 7.6 km and turn left for Waterval Boven;
• Follow this dirt road for 300 metres and then turn right;
• Proceed for 2 km;
• Take the first left and travel for 2.5 km;
• Turn left onto a concrete two-track and travel 260 metres to the lodge.
