The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, and breakfast and dinner at the cosy restaurant varied and delicious. We liked the remote location of the hotel, the room's back patio surrounded by trees and birdsong, and the tranquil atmosphere of it all. We arrived when the heavens had opened, the nearby river in spate, and the hotel's pathways flooded, so we all and our luggage got wet, but these were exceptional circumstances and couldn't be helped. At breakfast it would have been nice to find a selection of breads to choose from instead of having to ask for it.

- Arriving at Cape Town International Airport, follow the N2 in the direction of
Somerset West.
- Take exit number 43 (turn-off Broadway Boulevard/Stellenbosch/R44).
- Turn left onto the R44 at the top of the ramp and continue in the direction
of Somerset West.
- Turn right onto Somerset West Main Road (M9) at the next set of traffic
lights.
- Turn left onto Lourensford Road (M168) after about 2,4 km, at the fourth
set of traffic lights.
- Continue ahead for about 3 km.
- You will pass a Shell petrol station on your left-hand side.
- Look for Willowbrook's sign on the right-hand side of the road about 400
metres past the Shell station.
- Turn right onto Morgenster Avenue.
- Continue ahead until the end of the road.
- Willowbrook Lodge is on your left-hand side.
