Gwen & Johan were incredibly helpful, and offered lots of recommendations both for restaurants and (most importantly for us) wine tours! Indeed, we hadn't even checked in and had made the online reservation a couple of hours earlier and they were helping us book a wine tour!

Room was perfect, bathroom luxurious, car could park in the gated
court. Minibar was reasonably priced and lots of choice. Breakfast made
to order. Location very good if one wants to explore Stellenbosch by
foot. Very passionate hosts who love to receive guests from all over
the world.

It offered very good value for money and since we we going to a
wedding and only going to be arriving late and night and leaving early
the next morning, we did not need all the bells and whistles. So, for

The room we had was quite basic and a bit older, but had everything we
needed and was comfortable, with fresh towels and linens, and a nice
view into the town. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful, with
Florence (the girl checking us in) showing us around the property,
showing us the parking and giving us some information and tips about the

Excellent location; smack in the middle of the town center. The owner
(arno Zacharias who looks like a rock star) & his staff were all
accommodating & professional. They helped me plan small trips in
& around stunning Stellenbosch. Ah, everybody should not miss the
wine route! Room was kept immaculate. Breakfast was adequate. Arno was
kind enough to offer me a lift back to the train station for capetown.
Thanks! I will definitely stay here again. I really liked the
welcoming spirit.

Nice big rooms - the downstairs room have a small terrace so you can sit outside. The house has lovely wooden floors/victorian baths etc which give it character. Breakfast was simple but fresh. Ben was very very helpful responding to our every request very quickly and efficiently. This is a budget friendly option for staying in Stellenbosch. Next time I think I would stay somewhere closer to the restaurants in town.

On arrival our welcome was so friendly
and warm and we felt at home straight away. Beautiful gardens and building, with fine rooms. Our bedroom was stunning - large comfortable and a fab balcony.All the staff were great and did so much to make our stay perfect. Reserved supper, spoilt us when we sat by the tranquil swimming pool. Perfection. Loved our stay and thought the beach basket with towels was a wonderful addition.

Ouse Leeskamer is a unique historic building with a fascinating history. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking a courtyard. Jonathan and Paul were both very hospitable and provided a wealth of information about places to visit in the local area. Very centrally located near to informal restaurants and coffee bars with a studenty vibe. All in all an excellent choice at a reasonable price; would definitely return.
