An amazing boutique hotel located in the high hills above Knysna. A car is essential given the intimidating walk! The main building which is more than one hundred years old is a converted family house hence the very cosy atmosphere. We had ocean view rooms but the view of the magnificent grounds, pool and gardens is equally good. The large rooms are rustic in style but with modern bathrooms of well above average size. The overall hospitality offered by the management and staff made our stay in.

The variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hosts and the staff were extermely friendly and helpful. The hotel has large and beautiful garden. We can highly recommend this hotel. The staff and their service was absolutely perfect. Professional, warm, welcoming, helpfull and fast. The manor including the garden is beautifull with a lot of history. They have a own restaurant a their chef is brilliant. You can enjoy 5* food that you will hardly find somewhere else in knysna. Its best to take your car to the town centre as the walk back to the hotel is up a steep hillside. I asked from the receptionist to arrange for an activity a night before and she said No need for that. The Day after We missed the activity because of No availability. We could only stay one night. Nothing. hard to find.
