An amazing boutique hotel located in the high hills above Knysna. A car is essential given the intimidating walk! The main building which is more than one hundred years old is a converted family house hence the very cosy atmosphere. We had ocean view rooms but the view of the magnificent grounds, pool and gardens is equally good. The large rooms are rustic in style but with modern bathrooms of well above average size. The overall hospitality offered by the management and staff made our stay in.

The bathroom was very spacious. The variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hosts and the staff were extermely friendly and helpful. The hotel has large and beautiful garden. We can highly recommend this hotel. The staff and their service was absolutely perfect. Professional, warm, welcoming, helpfull and fast. The manor including the garden is beautifull with a lot of history. They have a own restaurant a their chef is brilliant. You can enjoy 5* food that you will hardly find somewhere else in knysna. Wow...best boutique hotel ever..Knysna's best kept secret. I only wish we had booked for more than one night. Lovely room overlooking Knysna bay. Wonderful restaurant. Pretty gardens with swimming pool and monkeys playing on the terrace...fantastic hotel. Falcon's View Manor achieves an excellent standard in every way. All good. the air-con is noisy, we were there at winter, it is really cold. the staff had brought us a heater after that. Nothing. Nothing!!. Nothing. Its best to take your car to the town centre as the walk back to the hotel is up a steep hillside. I asked from the receptionist to arrange for an activity a night before and she said No need for that. The Day after We missed the activity because of No availability. We could only stay one night. Nothing. hard to find.

From the Plettenburg Bay side turn RIGHT into LONG STREET at the traffic lights. Drive to the top of the steep hill and follow the signs just before the end. LEFT TURN into HILL STREET and RIGHT TURN into THESEN'S HILL. Falcons View Manor is straight ahead of you.
