Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. Not a single word of criticism worth mentioning here, except maybe that it is located pretty close to the motorway, so having breakfast on the large roof terrace might become a bit noisy. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi.

By car: - Heading north on the N2, take the M41 turn-off (Umhlanga/Mount Edgecombe). - Turn right, crossing over the motorway, and continue for about 1 km. - Pass Gateway Shopping Centre on your left. - Take the M12 (Umhlanga Rocks Drive) turn-off and continue north, passing McDonalds and Umhlanga Hospital on your left. - Turn onto Herwood Drive at next roundabout. - Continue past Sharks Board for about 2 km. - Turn right onto Campbell Drive and continue down the road until you see Atholton Primary School on your right-hand side. - Turn right onto Kingston Drive, then take the first street to your left (Manaar Road).
