Michel and Ursula make a stay at Rouge on Rose feel like you've instantly found a new home and want to move in for a year, not just a few days. The hotel itself is quite stylish without feeling too forced edgy/modern, our room was spacious and like a small studio apt. all reviews » Great location, great staff. This hotel is owner operated and family run. After one day, we felt like we were part of the owners family. Best concierge services I have ever experienced. The owner, Ursula, made reservations, oredered taxis, arranged tours and looked after us. The room was spacious and felt like an apartment. I could not recommend this place more highly. Ursula and Michel, the innkeepers were absolutely amazing in their level of service, helpfulness, and friendliness. We have never received such exceptional service. There is no off-road parking, but they did have a night-time guard and there was no problem. Nothing to mention. Toilet has no privacy, is open in bathroom area. Not as romantic as it may sound. There is nothing I didn't like. I'll stay there any time I'm in town, if they have availability. Easy parking at night, but difficult parking during the day. Nothing. Location is also very good, only at night you want a taxi to come back, but that is probably true for 90% of places in Cape Town. Parking was a nightmare as there are not really a specific place to park your vehicle. shower in bedroom :). the fact that 30 minutes before the kitchen closed for breakfast, certain items were too much of a hassle to preprare"because the kitchen would be closing in 30 minutes" , please indicate that on your menu in future?. No bar or evening restaurant in situ.

Travelling information

Directions from Cape Town International Airport:

1.Follow the N2 Cape Town signs and get onto the N2 highway. As you approach the mountain (approx 13kms) you will see signs for N2 City, at this time keep in the right lane.
2.Follow the signs for the Waterfront until you reach a very large intersection with traffic lights (CTCC to left and Waterfront to the right)
3.Continue along Coen Steytler Avenue, staying in the middle lane (M62) to the fourth set of traffic lights (Strand Street) at which point turn right.
4.Turn second left (Rose Street) continue on over two more cross roads till you reach Hout Street
5. The hotel is on the corner of Rose and Hout Street
