Being a pure vegetarian, the location was perfect for me as there are many veg. restaurants in the near by area. Its a value for money deal. moreover hotel has a very co-operative staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The location in Little India was within walking distance to public transportation and even the downtown area of the city. Perak Hotel is in the perfect location as it is close to most interesting tourist destinations in Singapore. It is located in Little India which is a most exotic place.

Good, helpful staff. lights are not sufficient in the the rooms and there are no windows so there is lack of natural light. The wi-fi connection does not reach some rooms. My children had to go to the reception area just to be able to connect online. Hard to explain to taxi the location. Nearby drinking houses seems to be many thus worried to walk alone specially late at night. Standard rooms non that good.... try to get a superior. The bed and bedding could have been a little more comfortable. No view from the bedroom.(The wall painting opposite was superb!) No lift . (I´m elderly and had leg problems.). Noise from other upstairs rooms. Bathroom floor (tile), they are using slippery tile. most people travel with smart phones. WiFi in rooms not just the hotel reception is now a must. No Elevator. pas de wifi dans les chambres. pillows made of concrete ( i should have asked for a change but was too tired to dress) bread pudding and fried egg for breakfast? what's that about? no power point near bed, in these days of electronic gadget addictions, a bit of a pain. Limited breakfast options Noisy wooden floors. Little noisy at times. there's no lift. Poor breakfast. Size of the room was very small. it is not so convenient for elderly people / senior citizen to stay there, as there is no lift. Breakfast is simple, and restroome is too small.... traditional hotel design no modern facilities. Since there is no lift , we have to carry our luggage's to our room thro' staircase in 1st or 2nd floor . If they could help us with a bell boy it would be better . Too small rooms, No swimming pool or Gym Very basic breakfast cereal, Egg Omletts Bread Butter Jam Tea & Cofee No much place in the lobby to relax. No double bed.... 2 singles pushed together! Air con was freezing and wouldn't adjust. Bad bed sheets, thin as paper! No signal on any Chanel on the tv. Bathroom flooded when showering. No bathroom amenities. Room very small. Did not look as it does on the website. This is a 1 star hotel at best. Pay the extra $100 and stay somewhere else! I will be!!!!!. No staff to pick luggage very small toilet no wifi in rooms no water in room.
