The ambience and the cleanliness in the hotel and very quite too.. Love the toilet as well as it is very friendly and convenient to the old and handicapped people. My boyfriend from London loves this hotel too but we will book Hotel 81 again for sure but in other vicinity perhaps near the mrt. Spencer is a very nice and friendly too. He offered my bf to sit in the lobby and Spencer helped to inform me that he was already at the hotel whilst i was still in my office. thats a good gesture and c.
all reviews » Exceeded my expectations. Staff was very helpful. I think its a budget- friendly hotel. Also I was more focused on the location. I can say I got a perfect one. Bugis mrt is a walk-able distance & Farrer Park mrt as well. Indian food is in close proximity, which was awesome. Next time I visit Singapore. I can't think of any other accommodation than Hotel 81 Dickson. I am surprised to discover a Perfect Holiday in Singapore for a first time visitor like me. Heartiest thanks to letsbookhotel.c. The location, near to bugis and little india, u can walk to both of places, near to mrt, friendly staff and it's really nice to stay there for 3 nights, I can left my luggage although I have check out to the hotel at the front service, there's warm water and the room always cleaning everyday. Location was good. Based in the heart of Little India it gave me a an excellent opportunity to explore the area and still have close access to Singapores main attractions. The hotel was reasonably priced for what you got. My room was spacious enough with adequate facilities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Its 10-15minutes walk to little india mrt. Lots of food outside the hotel. There's a great oxtail soup infront of the hotel and its quite cheap. Overall for a shopping trip this hotel is quite cheap and good. The staff are very friendly,the location is in heart of little india,only 15 minutes to mustafa center by walking.The nearest MRT station is Little India MRT exit C about 5 minutes by walking.There are so much restaurant and cafe to go. good location, value for money,. free internet,. sufficient room space, when compared to parc soveiren hotel ,. staff ok. closer to little india, and shopping like sim lim plaza and bugis. This is the perfect hotel for tourists, people with children, or even a laid-back business traveler. The staff are a definite plus. Really well staffed 24 hours. And very helpful too. The place is bang in the middle of little India. Easily accessable from MRT. Loads of cheap indian Chinese eateries. There are a few gourmet eateries too in the vicinity. I recommend a smartphone app - like foot sporting or similar for finding the places. Halaal food is available too a huge plus for us Muslims. Infact at a short 10-12 min walk there are Halal McDonalds KFC etc too. This Hotel 81 is better in. This location is quite near Little India(10ms) and Bugis(15ms) MRT on walking, depend on where u r going to go, u can choose MRT station which is convinience for u. Food and everything are quite expensive. We didnt care much about hotel, because we left at 9am and came back at 11pm and slept. The hotel has no window, a little small but very clean. Free a bottle of water/day and coffee. If u want more, u can ask receptionist (about S$1/bottle). However, u can boilt water in your room in 5ms. Our. i didn't expect any luxurious hotel so it was clean enough for me, and i spent most of my time in the conference and outside of the hotel but during my stay in nights it was good enough especially for the high expenses of singapore.and the place is near to mrt station which makes sightseeing so easy. The hotel is a little further from the Little India Mrt station. I got lost on the way there. My boyfriend from London got to walk out from the hotel to fetch me in. Given the price my expectations were balanced and I wasn't unhappy with anything. My only disappointed was that the room had no fridge for me to store cold drinks and the tea and coffee facilities were a little average. The wifi, sometimes it works and sometime doesnt. The room size is too small for that prices. nothing. Wifi is not so good keeps disconnecting every now and then. Cleaning staff should not knock door to ask for cleaning while guests on bed early morning by 9am. NO break fast, AC is too cold and cannot be controlled from room. Need to call reception to adj temp. NO restaurant. None. The beds were too hard to sleep on. No slippers provided....closing doors of other rooms can be heard of and that disturbed our sleep... Didn't know why at 409 (room with window), I got my room condensed anytime I increased the temperature! Me and my hubby found out that the room's floor (and wall!) was always wet but at the same time we couldn't stand on the lower degree also (the dew disappeared anytime we lower the room temperature) I think they have to install carpets to overcome this problem. Weird experience about these condensation things. Hot water ran out quite quickly and the cleaner was very noisy in the middle of the night. Sound proofing wasn't great. Room very small. Bathroom was just a big shower cubicle with a toilet and sink in it. nothing to dislike as its value for money. What is there not to like about Singapore?. Receptionist during the check out time were not so friendly. nothing. I would like if you could have electronic door locking system where customer could have the card key with him. Little space inside the room. No Breakfast. No comments. No have...!. No window but heeey, you have to go outside when you are in Singapore ;-). People smoking outside in the market. Poor sound isolation through the walls/door. i didn't like the wall of the bathroom made by glass. Maybe the rooms prefer for the honeymoon couple, not for the family, escpecially for kids. Due to Deepavali festival area to crowded. Very thin duvet. Room was a little dampdue to no window. all was good. No windows. WiFi very slow. some rooms have no window. Parking. The hotel has no in-room food service, which is sort of made up for by the three food courts and the score or so of pubs and restaurants in the vicinity. No in house restaurants. - but u won't really miss that. The room although really neat was quite small. But trust me it is larger than some of the other budget rooms I've stayed here in Singapore. As a solo traveler I found the room adequate. But a couple or family will have problems. I stayed in the Superior room with street view. water gets cool which was irritating for taking a shower.
