It is very easy to go to the city center and many shopping center around the hotel. The location - 10 out of 10. Right where i thought it would be and righer where the map said. room were small but value for money.Clean rooms, central location. Left luggage facilities. Breakfast was also very good - choice of hot or cold food and plenty of it. Very convenient location, clean and comfortable room, relatively hassle-free internet connection.all reviews »
Good location, clean rooms. Very central ... easy of coming and going.Helpful Staff. easy to go everywhere. The Location. just the centre. The way the front office manager Melvin handled our request for refund of the pre-paid room nights.(We were asked to pay for the 5 nights in full when we checked in and decided to check out the very next day). My stay at Bencoollen was a disaster. The valued of this hotel is not worth paying for. It is worst than a 2 star hotel. Rude staff and my cloths had marks from the iron .If possible, wifi or internet cable should be added to the hotel service with no additional charge. power outlets - most people travel with quite a few devices which need recharging - room only had one outlet.The walls are too thin, you could easily hear noises from the corridor and other rooms at night. They have no room service too. Also, breakfast is far from impressive. You'd rather have one in a nearby kopi tiam for less than 10 bucks. they supplied only two 330 ml bottle of water per day and sometimes only one bottle per room so we had to either buy water from outside or from the hotel itself which was very costly at S$1 per 330ml bottle.Breakfast was poor. Smell of 'smoke' in breakfast area - not good. This should be a smoke free area. Prostitute acitivity very evident and visual... was not happy with this. As I said on my form: No bedlight;no bed light switch; cigarette burnsall over the bathroom. I was booked at Hotel81 Palace, with a voucher(to far out) -Could not transfer voucher from a hotel in the same group!. the hotel was next to a karaoke bar. not enough towel ...Yes the employee are not helpfull - I was sick can't move my self and I asked help to the for buy medicine, I have to screaming to them to help me. Cleanliness, front office staff helpfullness. The breakfast and everything in that hotel.
