The hotel is just 1 stop on the subway from the airport. The hotel is
directly across the street from the subway station. The price was
reasonable for S'pore. There is a market and restaurants across from
the lobby and ATMs. Clean, modern rooms. We stayed 1 night and were in
transit on our flights and wanted convenience without spending a lot of
money. I would highly recommend and would return again.

In my view this hotel should have a higher rating.
The room was much bigger than I expected and the bed was huge. The window opened to a view of the street which is interesting.

The Santa Grand, located in Singapore's Tanjong Katong, (tjk) area,
this is the "Belly" of Singapore, the variety and quality of
the varied ethnic cuisines makes this food lovers paradise. Of course
there are the many and varied shopping malls in the area but tjk is
known for it's food and the Santa Grand places you dead in the
middle. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping are wonderful,
they are knowledgeable, helpful, professional and most of all just fun
folks, a great place.

Hotel is new. It is finished to a high standard but is not luxury.
However you are not paying luxury prices. I was very happy with this
hotel. It's a bus ride and or subway ride to the main action of
Singapore but nothing terrible. I saw a comment that this was near night
clubs and maybe not suitable to solo female travellers. I would not
agree. I was around late at night round the hotel area, there was no
sense of danger at all. I would throughly recommend this hotel. The

Hotel has a huge rooms that its very rare for budget Singapore hotels (we stayed in deluxe room with a big window). Clean, very comfortable big bathroom, fridge, big TV screen, nice aircondition, very friednly helpful staff. Lots of food courts right near the hotel and shops too. Around 10 minutes walk to the metro station. At the last day they allowed us to leave a luggage at registration till the late evening, We spend a great romance vacation there with my bf.
