Great and helpful staff with good English. Comfort room with large bed. Free internet with good quality. Very good location, 15 minutes walk from the train/bus station, and right on the main street. We stayed in the corner penthouse room with a sloped french window on the side, it provides great view, too bad we didn't have a good weather until the morning we leave. They can make omlet and hot soup for you in breakfast.
all reviews » Hotel Sabala is in a great location on the main street. Our room was quite spacious, nicely decorated, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and it included an omelet station. The hotel restaurant is better than most in town, and a nice change when you tire of the noise and music elsewhere. Great place with rustic yet modern rooms, excellent central location and fantastic breakfast offer. Swimming pool looks also interesting, but closes at 8 pm already, so we could not use it after coming from skiing. Restaurant downstairs was amazing, gives a discount to residents. One of the receptionists was wonderful. I developed a toothache late on a Friday afternoon. She found a dentist, arranged for a taxi, and after a painless root canal, my wife and I still managed a delightful time. Many thanks to that receptionist. Breakfasts are excellent too. Food was good and fairly priced. Beautiful wood carving and decor. Comfortable beds. Had most amenities you could want so when the weather was bad you don't feel bad staying inside. Live music at night. Large spread of free food for breakfast. I spent two nights in your hotel with my son. Everybody was very polite and helpful. Zywiec and Paulaner are very nice combination in the restaurant. :) I will go back as soon as possiple... :). We liked everything about the Sabala - the position, ambience, excellent breakfast selection and daily menus, friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful authentic local hostel located in the heart of the area of Zakopane, where one needs to be: Krupowki. We loved our stay. It would have been nice to have a tea set, but not a real problem. Price wise on a higher end, but worth it. Hotel sabala is located where the action is, which is a very touristy main street. If you're looking for a more pastoral spot, or a view of the mountains, this is not the place for you. Bit if you like the action, this is a fine spot. Sauna was closed when we wanted to go. One restaurant server seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. Shower was a little small and toilet was a little short (seemed that way throughout Poland though, to be fair). No bottle opener/wine opener in the room. Price was a little bit high. There was a lot of rain... :(. A lift would have have been a great plus. Need to take in te consideration that this hotel is located on the center so do not rely on the totally silence during s night. The noises of local orchestra playing in the restaurant below the room till 22:30 every night,but as we were going out, it was all right finally. very commercialised area, even up the mountains there are stalls selling all kinds of trinkets and souvenirs. Lack of lift. Our first night there was a Saturday and we ate in the restaurant. There was a large group of Polish visitors who were drinking vodka and making so much noise that we had to move out of the main restaurant. We were very angry that nobody told them to be less rowdy as they ruined our evening. Noisy! People are screaming near and around the hotel at all hours of the night. Not the hotel's fault, I'm sure all the other hotels there have the same problem. There was no WiFi in my room, the rooms itself was pretty small. The noise from the band below could easily be heard in our room throughout the evening and kept the children awake. The extra cost complared to other hotels in the area is not worth it. doesn't feel very warm and charming. The water of the swimming pool should hotter.... It was a bit cold. No refrigerator and no electric kettle in the room,which makes it hard when you travel with little kids. Wired internet, really? They don't even make computers with the dsl output anymore... We couldn't even use internet. No wi fi in the room, very cold swimming pool. price/servis ratio to low no fridge in rooms, high fees for parking on hotel parking place.
