  This was a great hotel, reminded me of a quality American hotel with large rooms, restaurants, and fitness facilities. The location was perfect for sightseeing in Bergen. We arrived at the train station after our Norway in a Nutshell tour and walked approx. 10 minutes to the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic and included in the rate. - The location is really excellent, very very close to Brygge, Bryggens Museum, Rosenkrantz Tarn and Akon Hall. Just outside the hotel there is the bus stop for the shuttle service to the Airport (with frequent rides every day). Breakfast is good and with a wide choice of food. The rooms we booked - two standard rooms - were sufficiently spacious, definitely clean and comfortable, though not very bright.

I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise. Couldn't believe the room and the view from the full wall of window, 20 foot high.   These were perhaps the most relaxing and peaceful 2 days of our big Scandinavian trip. After 5 hours drive from Oslo, we reached Liseth conveniently located half-way between Hardangervidda plateau and Eidfjord, 20 min walk from Voringfossen waterfall. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage No.14 accomodating 7 people.
