Everything else was good. At back so quiet.Clean, serviced daily.Had room service three evenings and it was good quality and the value for a hotel was excellent I thought.Staff were very helpful-rang me taxis and gave directions on numerous occasions. The staff were SO helpful and accomodating, they were great with the kids, and made us feel very welcome, this is not always the case when staying in a hotel with young children!.
all reviews » Beds were really comfortable with just the right amount of covers to keep you cosy all night. Rooms were clean, with quite adequate facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very large with 2 very comfortable beds. The hotel was central to the city and destinations were within easy walking distance. The staff were pleasant. Really loved the location. The high-up windows which didnt open- no natural ventilation so room became a bit stuffy and natural light was just about ok (you had to keep nets closed as overlooked and there was a fire escape which kids were running about on at 7am Sunday morning!). I stayed four nights so I feel that I could have been given a better room). Parking issue (yes, I know that can't be changed). Road noise at night. Lack of customer parking. Threadbare carpet on stairs. The bath/shower was a little bit of a tight squeeze to get in and the height of the bath made it difficult for me to gain easy access. (I have had knee surgery 5 months ago.) I think if I had been aware of that I may have asked for a different room or possibly chosen other accomodation. We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was a tad noisey in the evening, not sure if double glazing is possible or already installed but it may help with the noise that came from the Music Hall over the road (Room 206). I came with a friend Our room turned out to past the limit of the lift and with a sloping attic ceiling it was extremely hot. the only two windows were not able to be opened so that they would stay open. and the small fan was inadequate we roasted. None. cost for parking although the staff where prompt with the car delivery I will next time book hotel with free on site parking. Lack of free parking, luckily we were there on a public holiday so could park on the street free but not the case at other times. Room was small. tap and toilet seat loose, carpet lifting into rolls and posed trip hazard. Did not have non-feather pillows in rooms for those with allergies to feathers. Had to ask reception for these. The cleaner banging the trolley and doors at 7.15am in the morning, trolley was left just to the left of our room door so we heard all the clattering, as we were on holiday we did not want to be woken at that time in the moring. My room was really cold however when I rang reception they were super helpful and provided extra blankets and a heater as the heat panel wasn't all that effective. small awkward room. room a little cramped with 2 double beds. noisy fan outside window. Limited parking. the room needed to be vacuumed as there were long black hairs on the top of the bed doona, floor and in the bathroom. *Staff at check-in, check-out and one other occasion were casual, ordinary - never rude. *Rooms on small size, especially for the price. *Overpriced - definitely not value for money. *Least impressive accommodation experience for us in years. *Internet was slowest in 3 weeks in NZ. cleaning of the rooms lacked attention to detail corners of bathroom were a bit grubby also the menu left in the room was is a bad way ( stained and ratty) was put off ordering room service for this reason. No free wifi and no nice view. no wifi???? unbelievable~~~ and the price is not equal to its service and all other things. Rooms were small, dark and cramped. Windows looked out on to metal stairs/fire escape. I didnt feel the pictures online were representative of what we got. Our room was basically windowless. The slits, less than half a normal window, served an internal yard and a fire escape gangway, with no light coming in. Apparently the hotel punishes letsbookhotel.com customers. There never seem to be anyone at reception. Bathroom was not that clean!. Room too small for 2 queen beds. Hated the stack of appliances in the corner. Hated not having a wardrobe/ cupboard for hanging clothes, felt like they were in my face all night. Plug in basin didn't stay open without holding the stalk. TV kept cutting out and had to change channels to get it to go again. Hairdrier overheated and cut out after 20 seconds. Breakfast was overpriced and under delivered for $25. Public areas - corridors etc. were cold. Breakfast dull. In our opinion, didn't warrant 4 Stars. no parking provided no free WiFi no newpaper at door in mornings dirty room unserviced room leaking shower TV didnt work stained bedspread and dirty sheets reception staff did not care. No parking,the rooms were like jail cell little natural light. parking! reception staff! snacks for my young children went missing! no set of draws in room for cloths! ease/free access to wifi and sky I will not stay with you again and will not recomend you.
