what a cool place to stay. very relaxed environment. felt like i lived there! although a busy place with overnighters there wasnt the hussle bussle if that the word to describe. scott and micky were totally the best as one could ask for in a host. having stayed in various backpacker type accomodations about the globe, i would have to rate skyway lodge as the best. AAA+++. Het hotel was dicht bij het vliegveld, wat automatisch betekent dat je dus ver weg van de stad zit. Het hotel was schoon en de kamers waren prima voor het geld dat je betaald. De shuttlebus naar het vliegveld wordt bij de receptie prima geregeld.
all reviews » For my purpose the location was excellent. The fact that they have a shuttle to the airport at a more than reasonable price is a huge plus. The staff were helpful and very friendly. All round, a good experience. I liked the very friendly transport from and to the airport. The unasked information about exactly the things you need to know told me that these people have travelled themselves. Thanks for that. The place is very clean and Scott, the owner, was very friendly and helped us with suggestions on what to see on our trip in New Zealand. I can warmly recommend staying at this place. I loved the beautiful dark wood turned double bed. It is a lovely relaxed backpacker Lodge with friendly travellers and staff. The flowers out by the pool growing are just gorgeous. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Really useful tips (the excellent close by fish and chips) and the convenient airport shuttle. It was great. Not flash but very clean and tidy. After a call we were picked up within 15 minutes. The owners are very friendly and even drove us to the Indian restaurant (which is only 400m down the road). We left the next morning for the Coromandel. The room was clean and decent. The place isn’t very special, but is good enough if you’re just in for 1 night. I have no complaints about Airport Skyway Lodge and would certainly stay there again and recommend it to others. I had a room on the frontside, so the traffic was bothering me at night. No one can change that. I couldn't figure out how to turn the tv on lol. :). Not at all; a really good place. A little noisy around room 2 due to early departures and late arrivals from airport. Bit dated, pool needs cleaned and maintained as a couple of tiles missing. Bathroom could be a bit more attractive. No Tv to pass the time!!!. probably a bit of road noise, but not too bad! walls a bit thin could hear other people movibg around/talking. Nothing to dislike. Nothing, everything was good!. It is quite noisy because of traffic. Limited cooking pot and the knife is not sharp enough to cut the meat or breads. paying for internet! the cost seems like it should cover wifi. 5$ for person/one way to/from Airport. All O K. noyhing. nil. Finding a steak shop. Bedroom door not self locking, other visitors left it open. If you want to visit Auckland I suggest you book accommodation closer to the city center. Limited privacy. The toilet and bathroom is a bit of not very clean (wet floor). No receptionist Door bell brought no response. Charge extra $30 for 3 visitors staying 3 hours and $10 extra for each airport shuttle. If don't pay $30 extra, don't offer shuttle to airport by paying $10, took us long time to negotiate this deal. Stayed one night and just as well it was for only one night. It was horrible. Hallway too narrow, rooms too close to eachother. Linen in room was paper thin. Looked and smelt like sheets hadnt been changed. I had two couch looking cushions as pillows. Hot water had finished by 9am. Had to shower with cold water. Was not satisfied. No at counter it was a total waste of money. I have there fore cancelled my future booking with this location. Start with a sign that states for your safety, make sure all doors and windows are locked. An electric fuse box with fuses that are falling apart. When my son who just finished a church mission and his mother went to use the internet, they were showing porn on the tv in there common room. I was very disappointed that it was rated #10 out of 24. I would be afraid to see how bad the lower 14 places to stay looked.

On Arrival to Auckland Airport please free call (no sim card or coins required) Airport Skyway Lodge once you have cleared security for collection.
