Hotel Petit was a perfect choice for me - in the right location (close to where I wanted to be, but quiet and across from a lovely park), the staff were fantastic. They made great recommendations (food, activities), helped my visit (rental bike, packed breakfast, extra coffee in the room!), and were just lovely. The breakfast buffet was ample and had good choice. I highly recommend a stay here!.

In the breakfast, croissant can be included and the curtains in the room and bath room should be changed to something more opaque. There was light coming into my room.The hotel is very distant from the center of the city. Problems with Wi-fi connection.Everything fine. I would prefer if the bed linen were changed at least once. It was the same for all six days of my stay, despite the fact that the bed sheet had a dirt spot on it.No windows could be opened, not much ventilation. The waitress who served coffee and tea was clearly not dedicated to her customers. My wife had to wait 10 minutes before the waitress showed up at our table.There was a hole in the window. The back door did not look very secure. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was too easy to hear other guests in the near by rooms. the reception desk on the day of my arrival was very cold... strong smell of paint in my room, just renovated. Hotel furnishings are a bit dated and bed is very soft. The walls are thin so you will hear everything your neighbors are saying/doing. No wi-fi internet throughout as posted, had to go to the main area and when asked about it they made us pay for a cord for the suite that did not even work.Paying extra 30 euros for checkig in at 8am that is a normNo staff coverafter 11pm.

Directions

When you enter the city The Hague from the 'Utrechtse baan' (= highway A12) you follow the sign which says 'Scheveningen/Kijkduin'. At the end (traffic lights) you turn left, next traffic lights you turn right, this street is named 'Koningskade'. Follow this road until the third traffic lights, then turn left, this street is named 'Laan Copes van Cattenburgh'. Follow this road until the end (on your left side you see the Peace Palace). Now follow the road around the Peace Palace and turn right at the next traffic lights. You are now on the 'Groothertoginnelaan'. The hotel is situated on the left hand side.

Public transport

From Central Station take bus no. 24, direction 'Kijkduin'. Get off at bus stop 'Banstraat'. The hotel is situated opposite the road.
