Located in the centre of Marrakech's Medina, this guest accommodation is a 2-minute walk from the Jamaâ El Fna Square. Great location - no dark alleyways to walk down (a considerable number of Riads in Marrakech are located in areas that look dodgy during the day, let alone at night). Refreshing garden / pool area - nice to come back to after the hussle and bussle of the city. Indoor restaurant a nice place to eat - but the menu was uninspiring - chose to eat here after all the rave reviews it had received, but cant understand why. Coffee in the afternoon by the pool is very good, but the coffee served at break.
all reviews palaus donab was a beautiful glamorous peaceful and fragrant haven. Our room was lovely , quiet and private. The breakfasts by the pool with the birds singing were glorious. It was well situated for shops and restaurants and although near the medina was peaceful and safe inside. The staff were courteous and unimposing but bit formal. However they were helpful in finding me an emergency dentist. Thank you and loved the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went beyond the ordinary to fulfill our every request. The restaurant was very good. The location was perfect; you could explore in the souks and then retreat to a quiet oasis.We returned with some friends for dinner one evening after we had initially stayed there for four nights and we were welcomed back with this: "welcome back, this is your home". How nice!!!. The Palais Dar Donab is perfectly located and beautifully kept. It is full of character in Moroccan style and with only 6 suits it is very quiet and intimate. The food in the restaurant was terrific and at least as good as the that served in the other 3 restaurants we tried. Truly delightful! Excellent location and beautiful architecture makes Palais Dar Donab the place to stay in. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The restaurant serves excellent food. A very well run Riad. Highly recommend. Lovely place, great service, nice and quit in the Souks - great place for exploring the Medina. Great restaurant as well. Having breakfeast and dinner in the yard is just a great experience. The staff was great it was lovely to have a pool when it was so hot. It was a small riad with not to many rooms so it felt really intimate. Really would recomend. The dinner menu and breakfast coffee. Pool could have been heated a bit. The breakfast was a very basic and could be improved. Pool was cold... Minor issue though. Nothing to dislike !. Nothing. Nothing. Slightly more variety at breakfast - fruit,eggs. That we hadn't more than thees days!. The personnel attending was not very proffesional, did not provide useful information. When we went to have breakfast they took half an hour to serve it, so we had to leave because our trip to Essaouira was departing. The room was cold and did not have heating facilities. Service should be improved, it could be a top riad in Marrakech if they make the effort.
