I booked for a 3-night stay at the superior room, looking at the existing photos thinking it might be a bit run down. But to my delight, I was placed at the premier floor, where the rooms/ floor(s) apparently have been refurbished. It was a big room, and so was the bathroom. There was a nice egg shaped bath, and a separate shower cubicle. The bed was extra large so this was another bonus! The kitchenette allows one to cook (but the cooking utensils were not complete, so you will have to ask for.
all reviews » I cant express how great the stay at the Pacific Regency was, I found the staff very friendly and accommodating always willing to help and assist, the Hotel was immaculate, great food, awesome breakfast, rooms had a kitchenette which was great also a large fridge (very rare to find full size fridge) I have 3 children under 3 1/2 Years old and had heaps of room to play in the room which also included a extra bed and cot. I will definitely stay again with the family infact organizing another trip. Big room, lots of space. Within walking distance of the Sky Bridge and right next to the other Tower. The quickness of our room change (see did not like). Kuala Lumpur is beutiful city with some fair shopping (I've seen better shopping). Oh, for you pork eaters, in our 4 days in Kuala Lumpur we found 1 place that served pork. Most places sub turkey, beef, or lamb for pork (note the pulled bbq sandwich at the Hard Rock is lamb, the worst sandwich I have ever tasted, lamb is not meent to be pulle. The staff were polite and patient in helping me check in, and explaining the facilities available. I was given a free upgrade to a mini suite. The room had an excellent view of both KLCC and KL tower. We were given a welcome drink at the hotel bar upstairs. There were discount vouchers for the restaurant, minimarts, and spa. We only utilized the 20% discount for breakfast the following day. The room was spacious, bed was firm, pillows were supportive. I had 2 goodnites sleep. The room is spacious and we got a suite on higher level. From the dining room you could see the klcc towers in distance while bedroom with the kl tv tower (just near the hotel). Also not far away from Little India, China Town, Central Market. Even our little boy walked there with us together. If you want to take the hop on & hop off bus, it is just 5 minutes walk to the bus station. The room is also very clean. Excellent location, close to a lot of restaurants, shops and transport links. I enjoyed the rooftop pool; it was fun to look out over the city after a relaxing swim. The staff were helpful and flexible; one of them suggested that I change money up the road at KLCC because the hotel's rate was poor. And when I asked to move room because of the noise from the next room, I was given a free upgrade to a larger suite. I stayed in KL just one day,and choose a suite of this hotel. I like the swimming pool here, its really great located in the roof, it will turned to be a night bar at night ,and get a wonderful view of the KLCC.When i live here, i got a suite with a view of KH tower,that is also great. and the best part is you can cook in your suite,thats very convenient for foreigners!it near the subway for good!. My room was upgraded to executive suite free of charge and the room was very comfortable. Both my boyfriend and I like the room so much. When we feedback to them the air-con was not cold, the maintenance staff came immediately to attend to it. We had the most comfortable stay during our 3d2n in Kuala Lumpur. I would love to stay back the hotel in November but sad to say their rooms were all full. My 2nd stay at this hotel after nearly 4 years absence and still a good quality hotel with friendly staff, efficient service and very large rooms in a central location, opposite the kl Tower. After discovering a minor leak of water from the ceiling of my original room I was immediately offered a F.O.C. upgrade to an Executive Suite, which was so large I kept getting lost in it! Fabulous!!. I liked almost everything staying at Pacific Regency Hotel Suites. The room was big and well-furnitured, I enjoyed the view from my window to Petronas Towers, I liked the roof-top swimming pool, the SPA center and Thai restaurant Soi 23. The staff was very friendly. They organized for me interesting excursion and helped on many issues. I also enjoyed the Fool Moon Party at Luna Bar :). Great size suite on 31st floor with excellent views.Super shower,comfy big bed.Rooms were clean and smoke free.This is NOT a boutique hotel and has the air of a large business hotelof the type I used to use during my corporate days...this is an observation and not a criticism.Restaurant was very cheap for breakfast....under £2 ! for an American fried! So did not use our kitchen. Excellent reaction of the staff to solve our situation due to heavy noise coming from a electronic music festival opposite our room the night we staid there, change was fast and efficient to a quite room, excellent location within the centre of the city, modern appartments and very friendly staff, value for money in all senses (Hotel rooms, Spa, food). The hotel was of a high standard and rooms were extra large. We arrived early in the morning after 2 long days traveling and were able to check in early thanks to our room being available. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was comfortable one. It has a lounge bar on the top floor which is nice (many young people and foreigners too)! The beach layers were great, so soft and with amazing view for the city! The location is perfect!. We spent there 5 nights. The hotel's location is excellent. The staff were more than happy to help, not just the reception and concierge but also the doormen, security and other staff which made our stay stress free. The view from my room was blocked by another building which is under construction (what a pity).. this was fine for me as it view did not bother me but you might hear some construction noises going on during daytime. nothing everything was great. The a/c did break our second day there. Called it in, they were there within 20 minutes, they worked on it for an hour. They called the front desk and had them change our room as it would not be fix by the end of the day. This is not a bad thing, I was very happy on how well they handled changing our room as fast as the did when they fould it would not be a quick fix. The mini market closed rather early, by 8:30pm on weekdays. It's closed on Sunday. There are a number of taxis lining the road leading up to the hotel. The poolside bar was blasting out loud horrible music in the evening; not a good place for a chat or a relaxing drink. the hotel is located near klcc,but there is no supermarket or 7-11 near it, instead too many bars,and the location is not easy to find!. Nothing that I don't like. The service was excellent and the location was just nice. I could not use my complimentary drinks voucher on the evening I wanted because a private party appeared to have reserved all the tables in the Luna Bar. As this is a bar available to the public it should not be reserved for private functions. The in house basement mini-mart was very downmarket....in the Asian corner shop vein with minimal stock. reception is too small for the amount of people of the hotel (always queuing), taxi prices from the Hotel not according to normal city taxi fares and not transparent, we ordered a non smoking room (we traveled with a baby) but room smelt smoky, only 2 elevators are far to less (long waiting times to go up and down). Nothing. Excellent hotel!. I have problems with the toilet flush..Thats all..Other then that I`m a satisfied tourist!. The rooms tend to feel a bit oldfashioned. Tv did not work very well as there was something wrong with the signal cable. Front desk service system may need to be upgraded to make checking in and checking out process quicker. There is a food outlet mostly intended for local office staff not hotel. We used it first time and food was good. However second time it rated as worst meal during our stay. Loud music in midnight. Apartment had an old look. English Language proficiency of the staff is low!. Is getting a bit older, they should bet in renovation and new design. We wanted to extend for another night in the hotel but they didn't give us the same price and hotel was not fully booked, so we decided to find another hotel which luckely was even better in price and quality. Nothing for me to complain about. But would be a plus point if u hav halal restaurant or cafe. :). The furnitures are old and shabby. There are only 2 lifts for 34 floors, and one of them was out of service. All the time it was 10 minutes to go down and up! The Luna bar is on the 33th floor (1 floor upper than our room), and there was very-very noisy music from 11pm to 2am. If you would like to sleep, don't choose your hotel room upper than 28th floor!. Poor internet bandwith and signal strength, no business centre - for business travellers a major drawback (KL has better options from this point of view). The choice in vegetarian dishes was limited. I reached at 11 am but did not get a room till 1 pm, though most guests check out well before 12 noon. They wanted 100% advance payment for the room and additional security which is a bit disturbing. Foreign exchange rate was also below what one would get elsewhere. Small Ants inside the suite. Executive rooms/apartments badly need renovation. thai-restaurant inside the hotel is not very customer oriented (we arrived at 22.00, even if closure was at 23.00 and they didn't wanted to serve food, and even to set up a table just because they were all ready for breakfast of the following day). bathtub didn t work correctly. We've arrived at 4am and still need to fill all the forms, it couldn't wait till morning. I wanted to extend my stay directly at the reception but got. told by the guys there that it would be cheaper if I book anew via letsbookhotel.com, which finally led to the result that I found another hotel; I appreciate their advice but in the interest of their very own business I would recommend them to provide such service directly. The food at the pool wasn't available all the time, which only affected us once and wasn't a huge deal. Other than that the hotel was excellent. Staff were not very friendly and it is a 6 min walk from one of the train stations but it is not very clear on the maps. Very difficult to haul the suitcase up the hill if you take the train. No Dislikes looking forward to our next visit for a longer period. The building under construction next door completely covered our view from our room. How the authorities gave planning permission for the construction is a mystery.
