This hotel was absolutely outstanding and we have never, in forty yearsof business travel, seen such great staff. Their friendliness was sogenuine that it really lifted us to a new level...the best we have averwitnessed. We will be back for the friendleness affored to my wife and Iand also the great food. Most of all the 'staff'. A base for shopping, swimming, relaxing, water sports- everything you want to do. Friendly staff, right on the beach, central to everything in town by walking.

Food in the coffee house was quite good and the Celery/carrot/cucumber breakfast drink is a must. No beds on the beach and beds around the pool not comfortable no soft padding as expected at a 5 star. Too much noisy, the bath room not clean there is some bugs. compared to Marriott the bed was not as comfortable - I have a bad back and it made my back ache. The pillows were very hard.its a great hotel but perhaps it needs to be refreshed in order to attract future guests. the room was upgraded but the next room is under renovation with big noise in the daytime.They give me bad room at the begining. The breakfast selection was very limited and the service staff were not very attentive.internet not free - standardfacilities like the steam not free. noisy rooms. the bed is like Rock and room service and food very bad. with this room price i do not expect to have a cooling tower making noise the whole nite.At the coffee shop renamed brasserie but is is still a coffee shop!! Nasi goreng RM35++, Char Kway teow RM35++, cup of coffee RM23++ There is a fine line between overpricing and ripp off!!. the beach was over run by touts operating beach and sea related activities; the only time to enjoy the beach is early morning or at night when they are no longer around.
