It was excellent stay! Very clean, neat hotel. Room has fan on the ceiling and effective quiet air con. All rooms are with sea view, so at night only fan was enough because of sea breeze. On balcony is soft settee with pillows, table with arm-chair and bathtub! Towels and bathrobes changed twice a day. Shampoo and bath foam and even body lotion after sun were refilled everyday. Moreover it were disposable toothbrushes with toothpaste and razor, all were changed everyday, that is excessive we th.
all reviews » We decide to book this hotel after reading all positive reviews here,and it was the best decision! The hotel is very nice,done in Colonial style with all modern facilities that can be offered! We got the room on the 2nd floor (exact same pics. as from the website),we had bathtub on the balcony,so that we could relax open air while listening the waves from the beach. The breakfast was very good,rich choice of both Asian and Europe/American style, served open air. Dinning was also good,since they. The location is far more superior than the Shangri-La's Rasa and Golden Sands resorts. The dining options are all perfect for whatever your tastes. There are buffets on Friday and Saturday nights (115 ringhets each for unlimited quality food and drinks). There are other offers on too. The grounds are intimate and tranquil and just a few paces to a gorgeous beach. Between 4-11 May 2013, the sea temperature was at least 25c. All rooms have views of the sea and even the cheapest room (deluxe) hav. My sister and I have just stayed at this hotel after a stay at the E & O in Georgetown (sister hotels), and it was wonderful in every way and excellent value! It ticks all the boxes for a top hotel, food, service, room (which even has its own granite bath on the balcony) etc. The breakfast (great range) was included and we ate the super special Tiffin Lunch most days and all the food was delicious.The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was was super relaxing, and it has ample seating/loung. The friendliness of the whole staff, rite from the 1st step to the hotel and to the last step out of the hotel.. The quietness and the relax ambience is the plus that I enjoy.. The resort grounds are beautiful and right on the beach where you can take just a few steps to get a relaxing massage on the beach or participate in one of the many watersports on offer. A lovely hotel set in gardens with mature trees right next to the beach. The room was better and larger than expected, (deluxe double) with a very comfortable bed and pillows, also a big terrace with bath overlooking the pool and then the sea. The room was surprisingly nice and cool and even when air-con was needed it was nice and quiet. The hotel and the staff are great! Everyone is very friendly and always ready to help in any way they can. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the access to the beach is vey convenient. The staff was very helpful on two occasions. They changed our room to our choice, and when there was a mix up with our check out date they came up with a solution. The beds are fantastic. The spacious Deluxe room with a comfortable bed and private balcony was great and we made good use of the swimming pool. There is only one thing i want to highlight at the hotel restaurant set up, I think it needs some renovation to do how to cater guest during rainy days and to put some more space for more guest during peak season. Not much to complain about, as many have already said, the jet skis are a bit of a nuisance but the noise is more of a background drone than a loud disturbing noise. The bathroom area is a strange, not very well planned layout but it won't spoil your stay and the shower was great. The swimming pool is located under trees hence there are always some twigs in the pool. This was despite daily cleaning. Nothing. The watersports company outside on the beach pump disgusting petrol fumes onto us as we sunbathed and the noise from the boats and jet skis ruined the peace and tranquility of the beautiful location. Jelly fish warnings in the sea so unable to swim in the sea. The beach. (Too many pushy salesperson promoting there (banana boat, horse riding, etc.) Staffs do not greet guests. Most of them are unfriendly. Front desk did not rectify the matter of the problem caused. (booked for a queen sized bed room but got a room with two single beds instead) The breakfast served is not up to par for the rating of the hotel. Not much variety as well. The raining season start in September so I guess no more to lone pine ard these months.. We noticed the bed sheet cover and the quilt cover was not very clean. It had yellow stains on it. The wall had water mark that needs to be painted since this is a high class hotel. Very small issues, but I missed the lovely mandarin body gel which was their signature and it had been replaced with something I felt was inferior. Also during breakfast they use to juice on the spot and now you are offered pretty unappetizing shots. We were unable to access wifi from our room during our stay. The restaurant & pool (food & bar) staff were inattentive & service was very slow . No complaints at all. Nothing. The wifi connection is not really good. People are allowed to smoke in te breakfast area - not good Beach is just next to a drain so it doesn't appeal to swim in it Water sports can be quite noisy in the morning hence disturbing a bit the relax time. Only having to leave to come home. The sink and bath drainage was slow and almost clogged up.. I am pretty sure if the air-condition been service regularly, it will be better. Resturant menu is fairly limited. the drone of the beach jet skis during the day became tiresome. It has no elevator (left ) for the old peoples in the sweet building & has no play area for children (swing -sliding ,etc). Nothing much. Only that the price is a bit steep.. Hmmm... Nothing. nothing. couldnt swim in beach.seasonal jellyfish. wifi signal very weak food can be improved.. add more varieties and change menu every day. nothing to dislike.
