  Customer service at Pension Polaris was exceptional! Our host, Mr. Noh, spoke some Englsih, which was really helpful. He offered to pick us up at the Visitors' Information Center when we arrived at Gyeongju, gave us a quick tour in his car, showed us how to get around town by bus, and even took us to the supermarket. The somewhat hidden pension wa... what people say » s not easy to locate as every house looked quite the same and our Korean was limited. The nearest bus stop was 5 minutes away only, though we definate - Owner personally greeted us when we checked in. He speaks English very well. He sat with us with a map and gave us the rundown of the most efficient way to see the sites, since we were on a tight schedule. He also gave us instruction sheets on how to get to the major attractions (and back to the pension from said locations), with addresses in Korean so you could show taxi drivers. Room was cozy, clean and uniquely decorated (lots of bright colors!). Kitchenette was useful, bathroom was standard

  Mrs park and Mr Kung are ver friendly and accommodating. They were happy to drive us to and from the bus stop and had up-to-the-minute info on the buses and local attractions. We stayed in the family room and chose to sleep Korean style which was an experience for the ki - Basically all the positive comments I read before booking are just true. I've travelled quite a lot and I don't remember many other places so welcoming and with such helpful and nice hosts as Mrs. Park. My visit to Gyeongju was thanks to all her advise and help a very nice holiday. About the distance to the city, one must know that in Gyeongju all the big hotels are also outside this small city and actually farther than this pension.

  The owner is really helpful and you can use the facilities (kitchen and washing machine) for free. It's really important for us as we have been traveling for a few days and need to wash our clothing. We arrived at 5pm and needed to find something to eat. The lady owner offered to take us to some eating places which is famous for the local "sanbab... what people say » " and she told us after meal we could walked around as the place is closed to many of the local tourist attractions. - Cute traditional house. Rooms are clean, well maintained with tv and aircon. Its provided with korean futon and pillow stuffed with barley. So you need to like sleeping on the floor! Kitchen is provided with fridge, water, egg and bread which is really nice only 4 rooms available so you feel almost like in a private house location is 2 minutes Walk from bus terminal which is very convenient to access pretty much all sites.

  Moon is the guesthouse manager and he's the kindest I've ever met. Here are the reasons: 1. Korea runs on a different mobile provider system so i didn't have network access at all. Moon lent me a mobile phone so that i could contact him for pickup. 2. I needed to clear my memory card and tried my luck to see if he has a card reader. He didn't have one on hand but wen - The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location of the pension was absolutely breathtaking. The room had many useful amenities like a fridge/freezer, a stove, and a hair dryer.

  The location is great! Walkable distance from the korail station. Do note that it is 15mins cab away from ktx station. (There's nothing ,ich near ktx station) Cross the traffic light from korail and keep walking straight along till you you see the hospital, turn right and walk straight. Although it is difficult to find because it is not on the main street, but if you follow the instruction on their homepage, it is not that hard actually. The owner is friendly. Although she is not very good at English, she put all useful tourist information and maps in English on the... what people say » wall. The place is clean and comfortable, facilities are sufficient for a guesthouse, very budget-friendly. - It is very conveniently located. Near the Gyeongju Station and with bus access to Bulguksa temple and Yangdong village (Andong village), #note: only bus 203 goes directly to entrance of Yangdong village. The other ancient sites are all within walking distance and there is a covered market where you can find good food.
