Loved the hotel's location. It's very accessible from the Osaka Park Subway Stop on the JR Loop. Makes it super easy to get around and it's lovely to get up early and go for a walk in the park! We paid extra for a room with a castle view and it was well worth it. Even though I asked for a non smoking room well ahead of time, I was told upon arrival they didn't have any to give us. all reviews » The castle-view room at the 12th floor is very spacious for a couple. You have a nice view of the Osaka Castle & Park and the river. The nearest station is Osaka-jokoen, a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There is a convenience store at the nearby building but it closes at 11pm. From the Kansai airport (night arrival), it is more convenient to take the airport limo bus to Hankyu Hotel, then take the taxi to New Otani. Very large room, we had castel view room and it was great. Bathroom is a little old but works great. Location is pretty good, there are 2 train stations near by so if you want to go to Kyoto you can easily get on one train and the other train station goes throughout Osaka. Staff are amazing speak English very well, the tourist info staff are pretty cool too, tell you everything. I loved the friendly demeanor and hospitality of the staff. They were very accommodating to say the least. I absolutely loved the view that I had in my room. I could survey the entire city as well as Osaka castle and Osaka Jo Hall! The rooms here are expensive (like all other Japan hotels), considering that breakfast is not included. Hotels over priced for food, better off eating out or taking food into your room. The JR station, Osakajokoen, had an elevator going to the tracks, but you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get into the station first - it was difficult with luggage and small children. Room provided fridge didnt have much space left over from all the hotel- provided drinks and snacks which according to the documents in the room were priced at 315y and up, when the same items could be purchased at the convenience store next to the hotel for 100y and up. Walkable from train stations, but a bit tiring especially with big suitcases. The lobby is huge but side entrances are usually closed. There was not much dining or shopping around the immediate vicinity, but I knew that when I booked the hotel. There are no restaurants nearby aside from the ones at the hotel. The only attraction that's very near the hotel is the Castle and its park. There is no coffee sachet at the mini bar. to pay 20usd per person for entering the roof-pool is not ok. poor english skills of staff. Not all the staff is able to speak decent english, which is unacceptable for a five star hotel. Bathroom was old but clean, a renewal is recommended. Coffee was an additional charge. Not such a convenient location from Osaka city but still near a train station. The lobby and restaurant were 5 star, but the room was 4 star. shower and bathtub. A bit hard to find from nearest train station A little over priced. The bathroom was a bit old. swimming pool in hotel is paid. Had to pay extra if you wish to use any of their guest facilities. For this price, should include breakfast. Shower is not separated from bath tub. There is only one shuttle bus a day to the airport via Sheraton. Tap in the bathroom a bit out dated. Fridge not cold at all. Ice cream melted. no foreign TV program i.e. National Geographic, Free Movie etc. room decor a little dated and shabby. Breakfast was not complement. location at business area which get quiet at night. I didn't like the fact that we had to pay to use the pool , sauna , gym and the fact that there was no free coffee in the room. choice of restaurants. a bit too far from City. Nothing!!. The air-conditioning didn't work very well in our room. The bathroom could do with a revamp, but was sufficient and a good size.
