I would def... what people say » initely recommend it to my family and friends and shall I visit Kyoto again, this hotel would be my first choice of accommodation. - The Ryokan was situated on a quiet side road minutes from Kyoto station. A minute away was a nice breakfast place and in and around the station there were numerous eating places for dinner. The Ryokan was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful in supplying maps and information on sightseeing.

The room was really traditional and lovely. Typical Japanese Inn, in which I really - Some facilities may need renovation but the ryokan itself is very clean and comfortable. In each of our double rooms there was a shower and additionally every evening it was possible to soak and relax in a hot o-furo (public bath). The ryokan is located in the centre of Kyõto, near Higashiyama or Gion, but in a small street so it isn't noisy at all. The little Japanese-style indoor garden is really cute and so Japanese! ;-) The rooms are also very traditional and just a bit old-fashioned.

I think he waited for our coming after I confirmed arrival time because while we were walking to find Ryokan and almost getting lost, he called us from in front of Ryokan. I was so impressed. I got a big clean room with garden view and not close to the street so it was quite and peaceful. This room is what I think when stay in ryokan. Love it.

  My wife and I stayed there and was very warmly welcomed by the staff. My wife is pregnant but we found sleeping on the tatami mattress comfortable. Aircon works well and the room and toilet was very clean. We booked around 1 week before going there thus the price was close to 200 Singapore dollars which was a bit steep, but we will stay there a... what people say » gain just because of the hospitality. Also try the set breakfast which you have to pre-order, it was a delicious home-cooked meal. - Decided to get a room with a view of the Japanese garden, was definitely worth the extra money. The staff were exceptionally patient with our limited language ability and extremely helpful in regard to local information and travel questions. The room was very quiet and exceptionally clean, I would definitely recommend staying here, especially for those travelling with jr Pass as the location is very near the rail station.

  This was a very minimal Japanese style hotels with just futons to sleep on the Tatami. The a/c worked great and the showers were powerful. This is a "big city" Ryokan so it is not like those in smaller cities. Very close to Kyoto Train Station. I would stay there again as the room had two futons so I had extra. One of the younger staff could speak both English and Chinese, so it made communication much easier.
