  We were offered free upgrade to a villa when they do not have any non-smoking room available. The place is extremely comfortable and cosy. The staff was so helpful when my friend did not feel well around the time of the checkout and mentioned we could stay till she was feelling ok and the personal touch on offering assistance just could not be fo... what people say » und in the 5 star hotel chains. - Our 2 nights-stay in the hotel was amazing. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous. The hotel staff was professional and helpful. They could communicate in English. I wish I could stay longer.
