  We were offered free upgrade to a villa when they do not have any non-smoking room available. The place is extremely comfortable and cosy. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous. The hotel staff was professional and helpful. They could communicate in English. I wish I could stay longer.

  Too many! We have a wonderful stay at Seikoro. We like almost everything there, loacation is perfect. We walked to lots visitor places nearby with our 2-year-old son. I think he waited for our coming after I confirmed arrival time because while we were walking to find Ryokan and almost getting lost, he called us from in front of Ryokan. I was so impressed. I got a big clean room with garden view and not close to the street so it was quite and peaceful. This room is what I think when stay in ryokan. Love it.

  My wife and I stayed there and was very warmly welcomed by the staff. My wife is pregnant but we found sleeping on the tatami mattress comfortable. Aircon works well and the room and toilet was very clean. We booked around 1 week before going there thus the price was close to 200 Singapore dollars which was a bit steep, but we will stay there a... what people say » gain just because of the hospitality. Also try the set breakfast which you have to pre-order, it was a delicious home-cooked meal. - Decided to get a room with a view of the Japanese garden, was definitely worth the extra money. The staff were exceptionally patient with our limited language ability and extremely helpful in regard to local information and travel questions. The room was very quiet and exceptionally clean, I would definitely recommend staying here, especially for those travelling with jr Pass as the location is very near the rail station.
