  This is an good hotel for a family. The hotel staff was excellent! They really went out of their way to accommodate us. We also enjoyed having a family room as these are hard to come by.   I've been to Venice many times but never before managed to secure a reservation at the Pensione Accademia. As iconic in its class as the Cipriani or Danieli at the top end, it is famous for the charm of the staff, helpful and smiling service, perfection of the location, beautiful gardens with tables and chairs and even sunloungers, the generosity ... what people say » of the breakfasts and cicchieti offered with drinks, comfortable and well-provisioned rooms (a kettle! In Venice!!). I promise you, its all true! The - The best thing here is the receptionists. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Thank you very much Adriano and Massimo. There was no noise at all and I was able to sleep well. I don't know how it sounds in the holiday season, though. The hotel is not far away from St. Mark. You can walk or take take ?bus" to it. By "the bus" stop Academia is a small restaurant owned by a family from Tunisia. Amany was a great hostess there.

The hotel is positioned very conveniently at an equal distance from San Marco and Rialto. We had a late arrival but the staff was very friendly and helpfull and we did not have any problems.   We were made feel very welcome Staff were always helpful. Our flight home was cancelled and we booked in again for 2 extra nights and hotel reduced the rate for us. Overall fantastic - Excellent staff, good location, a well-run hotel.

Very helpful getting our bags to the room, which was no easy task as I was travelling for three weeks and required vacation and work clothes!   We recently stayed at Hotel Al Piave in the 2 bedroom family suite. The rooms were clean and exactly as advertised (2 rooms and a bathroom). Prior to choosing Hotel Al Piave, I had read the negative customer ratings just to see what the worst case scenario could end being, along with how the hotel management responded. The only negative comment could have be - We had a family suite for four, ideal for us with two adult children on the trip with us. Great location for exploring Venice. Easy to get to other areas on foot. Friendly, comfortable & clean family run hotel. Lovely breakfast & rooms serviced daily with clean towels & toiletries. Staff helpful with lots of advice, maps provided & guidance for getting around & where to go.
