Excellent location. My colleagues and I have been using it as the "base camp" for our after work walks, as most of Rome's interesting places are at arms length, more so if you enjoy a walk after a long work day. My room (#8) was ample and fitted with a nicely recently refurbished bathroom. Excellent shower, although hot water can be a bit slow to start. The room ceiling is really beautiful and the views from the window overlooking a goo part of Trastevere are really nice. It is also well connec.
all reviews » The location of the facility is perfect. Walking distance to most of the sights. A tram station and bus station is right in front of the building. Across the street are all the restaurants, bars and shops of Trastevere. You don't feel like a tourist, but living like the current Romans do. The building is actually an apartment building. The room was rather big for the center of Rome and newly renovated. There is a 'café' right next door that serves Italian breakfast. We enjoyed our stay a lot an. This hotel has a very convenient location - not far from famous sights. There is near the hotel several cafes where you will be able to enjoy nice coffee and croissants. The staff are very hospitable. When we had lost a way a little, we rang up in the hotel and we were kindly explained how find a building. There is lot of restaurants and cafes in this district where you will be able to taste Italian food Near the hotel is a tram stop and taxi stop. I advise everybody this wonderful hotel!. The location was fantastic. Twenty five mins to walk to either the Vatican or the Colosseum! I really enjoyed staying in Trastevere, there was a great atmosphere in the evenings and plenty of hustle and bustle and nice restaurants. The room in the Sonnino Room was clean and perfectly adequate and the windows were very well sound proofed so you could get a good nights sleep without hearing any noise from outside. I would recommend entirely and the price is great!. Stayed at Sonnino Suites for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really helpful and were able to answer any questions we ever had. The room itself was perfect for what we needed and was a great base for exploring Rome. The area was full of restaurants and bars at night which was also really handy! The bathroom was good with shower facilities like shower cap, shampoo, etc. There was SKY cable tv on the room, air conditioner, small fridge,everything you can ask for. The staff was helpful. It's located in a very nice building facing a beautiful church on the best neighborhood of Rome, Trastevere. The hotel is situated in the very Heart of Rome, within walking distance of the major attractions and close to transportation. The district of Trastevere provides a charming frame for a stay. The hotel offers the freedom of planning your own meals etc. at the same time providing the necessary comfort. The staff were excellent, and always happy to answer any questions. The lady who checked us in gave us lots and lots of information. The old streets around the hotel (Trastevere) are fantastic for evening strolls and cheaper meals compared with main piazza's in Rome. Highly recommended. Location, just across the road from main rest. You need to be aware, this is NOT a Hotel, it is two nice apartments in an "old style" (classic) block. All the (bed)rooms have been made into separate lockable rooms.. Ours (2) had en-suite ... I will attempt to add some photos. Inexpensive for such a great location in Trastevere. Tram is right in front of hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you have a car, the staff refers you to a great hidden car park for 25E per day. Very clean place. The cab stand, train, and a great pizzeria (Pizzeria ai Marmi) was less than a block away which was great. Very clean, comfortable beds, and staff was very friendly. I work with networks so I explained the situation to the hotel staff and they told me they will follow my advise of finding a less crowded channel. It is a little strange a B&B with no breakfast, but there are plenty of nice places around to have breakfast, lunch dinner, ice cream, you name it, so no big issue, really. The bathroom, in particular the shower stall is tiny but fully equipped. The positive outweighs the small bathroom. Nothing.. But if I would change a thing, I would serve breakfast. Nothing really, it was everything you need for a city break. Not a full service hotel, need to arrange for staff to meet on arrival. We had two rooms, turned out these were in different apartments. (both 4th floor) and you only (normally) get key to your apartment , so there was no way I could contact my wife (ie time for dinner) GoogleTalk (Hangouts) and free WiFi helped. Wished they had breakfast. There needs to be better signage on the front of the building. We had to ask several people and wandered around for quite a bit until we found it. The only VERY minor suggestion for improvement is more hours for reception and/or availability of additional keys for a room when sharing with friends. Also, the signage on the front door should possibly be a bit more obvious so that persons are sure they are at the right place when arriving. The room was small and the bed was a little hard. There is no 24 hour front desk service. Hard to find a some decent brakfast nearby, only croissants.....croissants... 3 flights of stairs up to the apartment, 2 single beds pushed together to make a double. would have liked more than one set of keys for the hotel as we have different interests which menas we are not always together as a group. Be aware, not a hotel. Limited services. Basically a fewrooms on one floor of a apartment building. No breakfast, etc. It is what it is. We had three rooms... One was very nice, one was nice, one was definitely sub-par (smaller room, discolored wall that looked like old water or fire damage). The manager (?) is not Italian and knew very little about Rome, or even the area where the hotel is located. Communication prior to arrival would have been good. No dislikes. early check out. Rooms are on 5th floor and lift was broken during our stay. No hot water on our first morning. Staff never offered to help with our luggage up and down the 5 flights of stairs, and did not agree to any adjustments to our bill for the significant inconveniences. This is not a b&b and no food or drink is provided. Room was a little small and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Lift doesn't work some time Bathroom is too small.
