The B&B is located really close (10 minutes walk) to Vatican main entrance (Saint Peter), and this is good if you want to visit Vatican on early morning. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and the metro station (Octaviano) is at 30 meters from the B&B entrance (which is great btw). The B&B is clean and good for a B&B. We usually book 3-4* hotels, but we decided very late to go to Rome, and all Hotels in the area were fully booked. There was also breakfast included, wit.
all reviews » Our staying in B&B Romance was a very pleasant experience. Let's start with the location which is very close to the Vatican city, near metro Ottaviano(only 3 stops from piazza di spagna) and in a central road where you can find many shops with Italian products in good prices. The personnel was very friendly, willing to give us information about everything, the breakfast includes toast, croissantes, cappuccino, orange juice, biscuits, yogurt and jam and was served in our room. Generally ther. It is so close to metro station. You can take direct bus (between Fiumicino and Vatican, just 6 euro)! The guy in reception (Antonio) was so helpful and he explained everything in city. The place is like home, you have all keys of apartment and room, anybody disturb you. There is very nice little kitchen and you can prepare your breakfast. For Rome, it is big chance to find that kinf of clean, nice and CHEAP place. The hotel staff was very friendly when we arrived. Good tips and hints given, we got to see main things based on this information. Rooms were really clean and nice. Self service-breakfast was a good idea. Excellent location for the Vatican area and very close to metro. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with choices beyond a sweet pastry. Very fresh rooms and clean. We didn't manage to use the coffee machine, and we toked some coffee from mc Donald's that is 20 meters from the entrance, before leaving to visit the city - that's the only problem we had (considering that we went to a B&B, and didn't expected same services as in a 3-4* hotel). Bad wi-fi connection, sometimes problems with the elevator, little noisy. We were on the 6th floor and elevator came only to 5th. This may be a problem for somebody, but not for us. Don't eat anywhere near the Vatican, ask staff for recommendations of good restaurants. We paid 22 Euros for two cups of coffee and one small pastry!. Room was incredible hot the whole time we were there, despite having a air conditioning unit which didn't cool down the room and was very noisy (it wasn't a wall unit).
