The location and views are excellent. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast and bar on the roof terrace overlooking the Colosseum is spectacular. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. Breakfast was great just by the view and in particular the quality of service from the personnel...Andrea was just out of this world.

The penthouse suite bedrooms were just a tiny bit cramped although the main sitting/dining room was very spacious. Just a minor complaint, though, and otherwise highly recommended. It is a distance away from check in but they do provide a taxi to the room. Even though there was a room services menu in the room, no food wasavailable any time after breakfast with no explanation , this meant thatwe had to go out to eat, even for a snack. The breakfast buffet was not replaced and some of the food was out of date. Bar/breakfast staff friendly but service very disorganised. The T.V didn't work, The air condition didn't work and We had to go to the Main Office to get a normal breakfast. Airconditioning turned off. The bedroom was either too hot. The only solution offered by hotel was to leave bedroom wiondon open which meant the room was cold during the night. Gladiatori Loft apartment did not quite fullfil our expectations of four star hotel standards (vs. price). For example, the view from the windows and the inconvenient balcony is just inner court concrete walls.
