The location was fantastic, 5 minutes walk to the pantheon and easy to get to and from the airports by public transport. The rooms were nice and clean, and the aircon was welcome!!! The hotel is extremely goin value for money considering its location. We did not need to get any taxis or buses and all the main attractions are within 20-30 minutes walking distance, which isn't very far when the route is interesting!!! Breakfast is basic but adequate, and the free wifi in the reception area was ni.
all reviews » The location of this hotel couldn't be beat for the money. The hotel was on the Tram 8 line, which takes you from the airport train station directly to the hotel and continues to Piazza Venezia. We could walk to all the major piazzas, sites and restaurants from this hotel. The price was the best we found in Rome, we would do it again. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean with a nice sized bathroom. Room: We had wi-fi in room (we were in a room near reception), ac was good enough. Hotel location is excellent, near Jewish Ghetto, 5 min walk from Trastevere, 10 min from Pantheon and Piazza Navona, 15-20 from Fontana di Trevi, near bus station for other parts of the town. Nice location in the center of Rome .You have to go this Hotel if you want best location and cheap hotel .clean and friendly . have a good breakfast more then other eurpore hotel.I like and want to go if I wıll go again rome . I like Hotel Arenula because of its staffs and the location is good. The rooms are big, the room style is somewhat old but it is clean. The sheets, towels, etc. are clean and it smells good. The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful. There is a member of staff on the reception desk 24 hours a day. We liked the spiral staircase with the statues and the central location in Rome between The Vatican and the Coliseum. Excellent location to see the city of Rome. The persons working in the reception were super friendly and helpful. This location near the Pantheon was perfect for us to be able to walk to every place we went in Rome. Staffs in the reception was so helpful to guide in finding the location.. Excellent location, walk to Trestavere, and other key sights. Very helpful staff, clean rooms , fair value for money. It's a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum, from the TIber river, Piazza Venezia etc... the location the staff serving breakfast. The guy who serves the breakfast was a bit grumpy, he's admittedly very busy but it's not nice to start off your day being made to feel bad for not reserving a time to go for breakfast, especially if there are spare tables and it's the last sitting! Also the free wifi only works intermittently!!! Bit frustrating. The room was small, but every room in Italy is small compared to American hotels. No elevator, which seems to be a common theme in Italian hotels, if you are on a floor greater than 1, this could be difficult. What I didn't like is that it has no elevator and we stayed on the 4th floor! Luckily we have 2 guys with us who carried our luggages. Otherwise, it would really be hard if you have big luggages and you're not fit to carry it up to 4 floors. I hope they can provide a remedy for that. Other than that, I'm fine to stay again at this hotel in the future. There wasn't a lift but we did know that when we booked and our room was only on the second floor so it wasn't a problem. The breakfast was a small hassle, WiFi is available in the lobby, but not working very well, air-condition was very noisy and not so efficient. The staff was not helpful and sometimes even rude. We had to walk up 94 stairs to get to our room. The wi fi section was a small room that was extremely hot and uncomfortable. A/C was not working properly.. even Fan is better than their A/C. free wifi, but only offered in hotel lobby area. Nothing much to say !!!. No elevator, old furnishing and continental breakfast. Stairs - 100 stairs to get to our room. Chaotic especially traffic. Expensive, no elevator. At breakfast one morning, the server actually asked us to hurry up and leave because a couple was waiting for a table and he was too lazy to clean an empty one. Not good!. Most The service was bothered. Hotel staff were not interested in helping, did not respond to request recommendations on entertainment, restaurants, transportation ... And struggled to solve problems (Like the Internet did not work, etc.). The room was small, the internet did not work most of the time and the breakfast was very modest ... The fact that their was no lift and we had to carry our liggage upstairs by ourselfs. There is no Elevator in the hotel and we were on the 5th floor. hotel does not have a lift and it is a long way up the stairs to the first floor reception. non-existing breakfast, served by two yelling staff members: seriously, in the 20 minutes we sat there they insulted each other non-stop. Luckily I was the only italian there able to understand them, but it wasn't a great show of hospitality and guest care. Also, the tourist tax is to be paid ONLY in cash, which was quite annoying since we didn't know and had to go find an ATM for just 8 euros and then had to run to the station. Rooms could have been cleaner. the stairs and we were on the 4th floor. One of the recepcionist at night was not very polite. No lift and given 4 th floor room despite booking 6 months ago. not having elevator. Staff !!! Oh my god the most arrogant, rude and obnoxius bunch of people. WiFi is restricted only to the reception area. Don't see any point in paying that much of money for getting nothing at all!! Breakfast is timed according to slots and of course understaffed. Breakfast spread is not actually a spread. It is basic breakfast. The hotel has no elevators!! We were given a room on the 4th floor and it was a nightmare getting the luggage up all the way!!!. most of the front desk staff the rooms.
