Location is just perfect. We have never used public transport. Everything is within walking distance. Next door restaurant (stair down) is marvelous. Highly recommended. We had a room with own separate bathroom. First impression was very confusing, however by the end of the fisrt day we used to our room and outside facilities. Room has nothing extra but you have everything you need (in case you are not looking for a special comfort, designer sofas etc.-this you will not find here). Wi-Fi was.
all reviews » Marco was fantastic, very helpful and very welcoming. He helped us book tickets to the Vatican & allowed us to keep our room late as we had an evening flight. He is so friendly and willing to help in any way he can. The room was huge & well equipped. Toiletries were offered, free WiFi, hairdryer, fridge, A/C. It was very laid back and you could come and go when you pleased - more like you had your own apartment. The location was excellent too. Would definately stay there again. Nice and tranquil place in excellent location to explore Rome. On foot most of the interesting places are relatively easily reachable. Very friendly and helpful owner. Quiet and big room in the rear of the building. Tasteful patio breakfast with additional items on request. Place is not easy to find: no sign of any kind on or near the front door; the next door supermarket owner will send you in the completely wrong direction. Just go to the address as in the booking confirmation (which actually is easy to find....)and ring one of the bells. Bathroom shower of triple 2 type: too cold, too hot, too cold................. the bathroom was separate from the room but it was only for our room, rest of the rooms have it. Can't find anything we did not like. No safe in the room, but it wasn't a problem. It turned out, that it's safe enough in the room, maybe because of the restaurant on the first floor. Maybe English TV channels, SKY or BBC or Bloomberg. I think that if you had sound proof window in the room it would make the stay more restful, because I wasn't able to get any sleep until the early hour of the morning because of car noise and talking from people coming out of the bar which is right under the window. Hard to find, not labeled on street except house number. The neighbors living upstairs: they started hammering a wall in the middle of Saturday night. Very noisy, the rooms at the front are almost street level and face a very busy street with lots of traffic Unable to open the window because of the noise and smell of exhaust gases. Blinds or curtains should be kept shut otherwise people at the street can look into the room. Difficult to find and the locks on the doors are really not good. Small television screen in a room And only Italian channels for tourists should add English Channel Poor breakfast for the money they charge for overnight stay. For the price I paid I thought I would be getting a 4 star experience. It was more like a hostel room. Clean enough except for some mold in bathrooms. Air conditioner was like sleeping next to a jet engine. We were very tired from long day of walking in Rome and it was not a place to come out and hang out in room. Just bed and one plastic chair. Breakfast was also weak - cold cuts, yogurt, very minimal. Would not stay again and would not recommend.
